Unlock The Secrets of Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart: A Surreal Experience Off the Las Vegas Strip

Off of the Las Vegas Strip, is the entertainment district, AREA 15, where Meow Wolf’s immersive art installment, Omega Mart, has been since 2021. After seeing over 1 million visitors in its first year, Omega Mart has continued to bring in curious visitors to figure out its mystery and find its secret rooms.

Created by the Santa Fe-based arts and entertainment company Meow Wolf, Omega Mart features four giant themed areas, 60 installation-filled rooms, terrains, and portals to other worlds, all made by more than 325 artists both local and international.

While Omega Mart may appear to be your run of the mill grocery store, none of the products are actually consumable. Many of the absurdist products on display can be purchased as souvenirs or fun knick-knacks. Guests can explore the grocery store set up of Omega Mart, where every door or fake product is a potential entryway into new worlds and installations.

Some oddball items around the store are a tattoo’d rotisserie chicken, avocados that are actually tiny coin purses, rose beef, canned beaches, chip bags that are actually pillows, and hundreds more.

For an extra $3.00, you can try to solve the mystery surrounding Omega Mart as an “employee.” The exhibit follows the story of a family-store-turned-supermarket run by a secretive parent company, which you soon find out is behind a conspiracy. You can still enjoy the immersive experience without partaking in the mystery game, but some props might make more sense knowing the story.

Beyond the grocery store is an entirely different world. Filled with colorful lights, paintings, and large sculptures. As you keep exploring, you’ll find dozens of hidden rooms all decorated differently depending on which artist designed it. Upstairs, you’ll find a makeshift office space full of clues related to the mystery conspiracy.

In your travels, make sure to check behind the Pharmacy for the not-so-secret bar, Datamosh. It serves unique and wild Omega Mart inspired drinks and has scenery just as vibrant and whimsical as the rest of the exhibit.

With the amount of discoverable rooms and interactive displays, you’ll want to set aside a few hours to fully immerse yourself in Omega Mart, especially if you’re solving the mystery. Their daily hours of operation vary so make sure to check their ticketing site for the most current information. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Ticket prices depend on the day and time.
