Tips for Selecting the Ideal Super Yacht Charter for Your Luxury Break

Planning a luxury trip doesn’t need to mean stays in exclusive hotels and endless hours shopping in designer boutiques. If you’re hoping to enjoy the ultimate luxury break, filled with relaxation and opportunities to recharge, rejuvenate, and have fun, a vacation onboard a superyacht is the ultimate choice.

Chartering a yacht is a travel experience really like no other. However, this is a trip that you want to get right to enjoy the full benefits. Getting the most from your superyacht experience all starts with selecting the ideal boat for your charter. Here are some of the factors to keep in mind when choosing a superyacht:

Size of the Yacht

The number of guests you plan to bring along on your yachting holiday will determine the size of the boat you need. Of course, the more guests you bring, the more cabins you will need to ensure everyone has somewhere to sleep. Keep in mind that it’s often wise to look beyond the simple number of cabins. If you want to have some personal space, and allow everyone to enjoy their own activities without disturbing each other, it’s often wise to select a larger boat, even if it has fewer cabins.

When choosing the size of the yacht, you will also need to consider any further guests you may invite on board during your trip. For example, will you be inviting friends on board to join you when mooring at certain locations? If so, you will need to make sure the boat is spacious enough to accommodate them.

Budget

Superyachts for charter can vary considerably in terms of price. So, it’s a good idea to consider how much you’re willing to spend on the charter, and to set a budget for this.

It’s important to keep in mind that aside from the actual cost of chartering the yacht, you will likely incur some extra fees on top of this. Costs such as berthing fees for the destinations you moor the boat at during your trip are rarely included in the initial price. Other costs to consider include fuel, crew, and your travel to and from the yacht.

Having a budget in mind is always helpful. However, it’s good to discuss this with a charter broker, as they will be able to create a package matching your budget and needs.

Yacht Amenities

When choosing a yacht to charter, it’s important to choose a boat with an interior that reflects your tastes. Beyond this, it’s even more vital to choose a yacht that offers the onboard amenities you need to have the best possible trip. Onboard jacuzzis and gyms can help you to work on both relaxation fitness while you’re on your trip.

If you love watersports, it’s helpful to look for yachts equipped with water toys, jet skis, and kayaks.

Chartering a superyacht is an excellent way to enjoy an unforgettable luxury vacation. However, it’s vital to choose your yacht charter carefully to get the most from your trip.
