Cirque du Soleil and UMG Nashville Present Songblazers

Cirque du Soleil and Universal Music Group Nashville will premiere Songblazers, a country-themed show, in July. The show, written and directed by Amy Tinkham, follows the journey of a pair of main characters as they chart their own path toward country stardom. Songblazers will kick off in Nashville and visit seven other cities on tour. Pre-sale tickets are now available and general on-sale will begin March 28th.

Songblazers will be available live at:

  • Tennessee Performing Arts Center® (TPAC) in Nashville, TN: July 2 to July 28, 2024
  • Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, TX: August 1 to August 11, 2024
  • Bass Concert Hall in Austin, TX: August 14 to August 18, 2024
  • Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX: August 21 to August 25, 2024
  • BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham, AL: September 12 to September 15, 2024
  • Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, LA: September 18 to September 22, 2024
  • Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, TX: September 25 to October 20, 2024
  • The Fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis, MO: October 23 to October 27, 2024

Through this production, Cirque du Soleil pays homage to legendary country music trailblazers while embracing the contemporary music scene. Audiences will be captivated by jaw-dropping acrobatics, aerial acts and displays of strength to the sounds of beloved country songs. For Songblazers, Cirque du Soleil and contemporary country artist Sam Williams, grandson of Hank Williams and son of outlaw country star Hank Jr., have collaborated to create “Carnival Heart”. Fellow songwriters PJ Harding and Ned Houston helped bring the song to life.

“The title idea came to me pretty easily after becoming acquainted with Cirque du Soleil,” says Williams. “Where I come from, most people don’t get to go to the circus. We go to county fairs and carnivals, and the carnival in a small town is filled with joy, excitement, mystery, euphoria, you name it. That feeling is one you always remember, and I think the roller coaster of emotions lines up with what you want to feel seeing such an incredibly beautiful production such as Cirque’s.”

Williams’ “Carnival Heart” from Songblazers is available now here. For more information and to secure your seats, visit: www.cirquedusoleil.com/songblazers.
