Diplo’s Run Club Offers 5Ks with A Twist

Diplo recently announced Diplo’s Run Club, a series of 5K runs with afterparties DJed by Diplo and friends. Inaugural runs will take place this September. The first two dates of Diplo’s Run Club are September 8th in San Francisco and September 14th in Seattle. More dates will be announced soon.

The Grammy winner has had an array of entrepreneurial projects throughout his career. While building a name for himself in music, he founded and grew Mad Decent and Higher Ground into globally recognized labels and chartered a luxury expedition to Antarctica to raise money for ocean conservation. Throughout his 20-year career, Diplo has collaborated with huge stars as well as released solo material across multiple genres.

Through it all, Diplo has prioritized physical well-being and made sure workouts were a part of his day. He recently ran the Los Angeles Marathon and competed in the Malibu Triathlon. While competing, he realized there was an opportunity to create a post-workout celebration that would combine his love for music with fitness. In partnership with Mascot Sports and Wasserman, Diplo’s Run Club was born.

“Over the past few years, I’ve doubled down on all things health and wellness, and running has been a big part of that,” says Diplo. “I’m excited to finally get to combine two of my favorite things in one event: fitness and DJing. A 5K may be intimidating to some but Diplo’s Run Club is for everyone and meant to be a good time for all – both seasoned runners or anyone just starting their running journey. I’m looking forward to running and partying with everyone at the inaugural events in SF and Seattle this fall!”
