The Travel Addict’s Must See Artists Coachella Weekend 2- Saturday

Welcome to Coachella Weekend 2! The festival is taking over Indio, California again this weekend. Each year the AEG team always seem to be able to pick the undercard of the season highlighting artists who are sure to rise up the charts after their Coachella debuts.

We walked miles and miles Weekend 1 to bring you the list of our favorites to checkout as you head out to Weekend 2. Here are The Travel Addict top picks for Saturday.

Elyanna

Up-and-coming Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna made history last Saturday performing the first ever set in all Arabic at the festival. She brought the beautiful language to life and captivated the crowd. Elyanna took the stage in the Gobi tent in the mid-afternoon and almost had an ethereal quality dressed in a flowing white cut out dress.

Boygenius

The supergroup comprised of acclaimed solo artists Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, walked onto the Outdoor Theatre stage for their Coachella set in matching suits as the speakers blasted Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys are Back in Town.”

The intro was followed by a passionate, politically driven performance acknowledging trans rights and giving a big F U! to Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis by Bridgers herself. The band played their first full length show since 2018 just last week but they are as sharp as ever. Make sure to catch their set on Saturday evening.

The Breeders

I couldn’t pass up another opportunity this summer to see Dayton, Ohio’s own The Breeders. The alt-rock veteran band is led Kim Deal and her sister Kelley Deal and they are joined by Josephine Wiggs on bass and Jim Macpherson on drums. Stop into the Sonora tent to cool off and catch some classic rock on Saturday afternoon.

Dinner Party

Dinner Party, a supergroup featuring Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, 9th Wonder and Kamasi Washington, took over the Gobi Stage on Saturday afternoon bringing the funk and master musicianship for the crowd seeking a reprieve from the afternoon sun.

Remi Wolf

Remi Wolf is always high-energy and consistent in her performances but I have to say this was one of my favorite sets she has played in the past fews years across all the festivals. Her band has grown and her songs are hits that will stay in your mind all day. Definitely check her out – we predict much bigger stages are in store for her soon.

ROSALÍA

In our eyes, ROSALÍA stole the show on Saturday with a performance that looked like a like movie coming to life on the main Coachella stage. She performed tracks from her critically acclaimed, GRAMMY Award-winning album MOTOMAMI.

She was also joined by reggaeton icon Rauw Alejandro for performances of “BESO” and “VAMPIROS” from their three song project RR.

Do not take your dinner break during this set and walk away. It may be the best performance of the whole weekend and we can see her headlining festival stages around the country very soon.

The Kid LAROI

The Kid LAROI released “WHERE DOES YOUR SPIRIT GO” yesterday via Columbia Records. The open letter was dedicated to lost friends Juice WRLD and Saiko during the set where it was first performed. His high energy performance took place on what could be a stage setup of an apocalyptical junk yard setup on top of the Sahara stage.

The Kid Laroi was competing with a Black Pink time slot so there was room in the audience to dance for heart away to close out Saturday night at the festival.
