Celebrate National Donut Day With Glazed Glory: Krispy Kreme’s 2-Week Promo Includes $0.13 Dozen Deal and Free Donuts Sweepstakes

Today, Friday, June 6, 2025, marks National Donut Day in the United States—a sweet tradition that dates back to 1938. Established by The Salvation Army in Chicago, the holiday honors the “Donut Lassies,” women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I, and also served as a fundraiser during the Great Depression.

To celebrate, many donut shops nationwide are offering free treats and special deals. Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut of any variety to all guests—no purchase necessary. Additionally, customers can purchase a dozen Original Glazed donuts for just $2 with the purchase of any other dozen at regular price.

Celebrate National Donut Day With Glazed Glory

The following day, Saturday, June 7, kicks off Krispy Kreme’s “14 Days of Original Glazed” promotion, which includes these deals:

  • June 7-20: during which members of the Krispy Kreme Rewards loyalty program can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $9.99 (limit one per guest per day). Other “14 Days of Original Glazed” specials:
  • June 13: All customers can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for 13 cents with the purchase of any dozen at the regular price.
  • June 20: Get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $2 with the purchase of any dozen at the regular price. Also, multiple customers will be randomly selected at participating shops to win 12 months of free Original Glazed doughnuts – you get one dozen per month beginning July 2025 through June 2026.

Nothing beats a melt in your mouth warm glazed Krispy Kreme donut, so take this opportunity to stop by a store and pick one up.

Other chains participating in National Donut Day include Duck Donuts, Paris Baguette, Shipley Do-Nuts, Tim Hortons, and Voodoo Doughnut, each offering their own sweet deals.

Whether you’re a fan of glazed, filled, or frosted, today is the perfect day to indulge in your favorite donut and celebrate this delightful tradition.
