Chase Rice to Open I Hate Cowboys in Cleveland

I Hate Cowboys, a cocktail and bourbon lounge, will open in Cleveland’s Flats East Bank district on March 16th. It is adjacent to Rice’s first hospitality venture, Welcome to the Farm. The 2400-square foot venue shares a name with a song off Rice’s 2023 release, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell.

“The I Hate Cowboys album honored the rebellious spirit of the American West that I fell in love with during my travels over the past few years, and this lounge concept felt like the perfect way to bring a celebration of that way of life to even more people,” says Chase Rice, who again played an integral part of the design process for the venue. “We’ve had so much fun bringing my Tennessee Farm to y’all at Welcome to the Farm, and can’t wait to introduce this new space next door that represents another side of me.”

Rice’s Welcome to the Farm opened in 2021, in collaboration with Forward Hospitality Group. Since it opened, the venue has hosted live music, including a “Nashville’s Next” concert series that showcases rising stars. Welcome to the Farm also hosts special events like its annual Derby Day party and a Fold of Honor benefit. In 2022, the Farm expanded to St. Pete’s Central Arts District. Now, with the help of Forward Hospitality Group, Rice is back in Cleveland expanding with I Hate Cowboys.

I Hate Cowboys is a combination of the classic Western bar and the high-end sophistication of a modern cocktail lounge. Therein, guests can enjoy rare and allocated bourbons and tequilas, craft cocktails and no nonsense canned beers. The food offerings include a bison tartare, bone marrow, kale Caesar salad, a smash burger and a signature fried chicken.
