Princess Cruises Brings The Ranch To The High Seas With Goodstock By Nolan Ryan

Princess Cruises, the globally renowned cruise brand, is introducing a captivating addition to its food and beverage offerings through a new collaboration with the legendary Hall of Fame pitcher and renowned rancher, Nolan Ryan. Travelers on the Regal Princess departing from Galveston can now savor Goodstock by Nolan Ryan Angus beef, a selection of premium Black Angus beef graded at the highest levels of USDA Choice and above. With exceptional marbling, tenderness, and natural flavors, these steaks promise an extraordinary culinary experience for passengers.

As a dedicated rancher, Ryan has established stringent standards for his beef program, prioritizing the well-being of the cattle and the land. This commitment to quality beef is now reflected in Crown Grill, the ship’s acclaimed steakhouse, and the main dining rooms.

A highly decorated baseball player with a Hall-of-Fame career spanning four decades, Mr. Ryan secured the record for the most strikeouts—a record he still holds today. An icon both on and off the field, Nolan was honored with the esteemed Golden Spur award for his decades-long dedication and contributions to the livestock and ranching industries.

“We are honored to welcome a true sports and ranching legend, Nolan Ryan, into our Princess Cruises family,” said Sami Cohen, Vice President Food and Beverage for Princess Cruises.  “Goodstock by Nolan Ryan Angus beef represents a distinctive, all-American addition to our Food and Beverage portfolio, and we are excited to offer our guests a taste of his passion and expertise.”

Ryan also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.

“This is a great opportunity to bring an incredible eating experience and the Texas ranching spirit to Princess Cruises‘ guests, and we are honored to serve them for years to come,” said Ryan.

An iconic figure in the world of sports, Ryan is the only player in Major League history to have his uniform retired by three esteemed teams—the California Angels, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers. His incredible baseball journey, spanning from 1966 to 1993, saw him setting or breaking an astounding 51 Major League records.

The incorporation of the Goodstock by Nolan Ryan collection reinforces Princess Cruises’ dedication to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for its guests. This follows a recent revelation of Princess partnering with Dario Cecchini, the globally renowned butcher, to introduce the innovative specialty impromptu bistro, The Butchers Block by Dario, on the upcoming Sun Princess, set to debut in February 2024.
