Tom Brady Appointed by Delta as Long-Term Strategic Adviser

Delta has announced an innovative new partnership appointing Tom Brady as a long-term strategic adviser for the airline. The seven-time Super Bowl champion brings years of expertise in teamwork, performance and perseverance to Delta to aid strategic initiatives.

Delta’s people are driven by their commitment to world-class performance, excellence and a desire to achieve best-in-class results,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “Bringing a leader like Tom onto the Delta team furthers our mission to connect the world while accelerating our drive to continuously improve for our colleagues, customers and communities.”

Brady’s winning spirit and passion for inspiring those around him mirrors Delta’s goal of helping people reach their potential. In this partnership, three main groups are the focus for the work:

  • Employees: Brady will assist in developing and advising on training and teamwork tools for the airline.
  • Customers: Brady will support the brand identity through marketing and customer engagement activations.
  • Communities: Brady will support Delta to positively impact the communities in which employees live and work.

“I am grateful to be joining the Delta family, a company I have loved and respected for years,” Tom Brady said. “Growing up with a mother as a flight attendant, I have always admired the people that make seamless air transportation possible…Now, alongside Ed and the Delta team, I look forward to playing my part to continue the company’s success.”

Initially, Brady will work closely on Delta employee onboarding, cultural familiarity and immersion into the Delta organization. He will also appear on “Gaining Altitude”, a one-on-one discussion series hosted by Delta CEO Ed Bastian. The series focuses on overcoming adversity, performance, perseverance and more.
