The First Look Inside the Universal Epic Universe’s Isle of Berk In Orlando

The Universal Epic Universe will feature five worlds, including How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk where guests can soar with dragons. Slated to open in 2025, the theme park will feature 50+ attractions, entertainment, unique dining and shopping experiences to inspire adventure at Universal Orlando Resort. Within the Isle of Berk, guests can embark on Viking adventures, train to become Dragon Riders, meet beloved characters, and see dragons in their natural habitats based on the popular trilogy by DreamWorks Animation.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk re-creates the craggy world in which Vikings and dragons live together. Visitors to the Isle of Berk are in for a treat; this world is full of lush landscaping, hand-carved details, vibrant colors and active dragons. Isle of Berk will even have sheep disguising themselves as Terrible Terror dragons and bursts of flames to mimic dragon fire. Attractions include:

  • Hiccup’s Wing Gliders – Aspiring Dragon Riders can take to the sky in this family thrill coaster! Alongside Hiccup and Toothless, guests can fly up to 45 MPH around Berk’s perimeter.
  • The Untrainable Dragon – Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber and Astrid work together in this live show to solve The Untrainable Dragon conundrum. The Untrainable Dragon is full of musical numbers, beautiful sets and life-sized dragons overhead.
  • Fyre Drill – Ruffnut and Tuffnut invite guests to compete in teams to outscore one another in this boat battle. Teams board a dragon-headed boat and blast water cannons at targets to practice putting out fires. This is a skill the Vikings need to safely live with dragons.
  • Dragon Racer’s Rally – Here guests can test aerobatic maneuvers, such as high-speed barrel rolls, needed to become champion dragon racers. With “wild” and “mild” options, guests can control how they conquer the height of 67 feet.
  • Viking Training Camp – This area is an expansive, interactive adventure camp made just for the kids. There is a Viking agility course, Toothless-themed teeter-totter, baby Gronckle dragon climbers and more for Junior Vikings to explore.
  • Meet Hiccup and Toothless – At the Haddock Paddock, guests can meet Hiccup and his brave Night Fury, Toothless. Throughout the day, other beloved Vikings and dragons may make appearances in Berk as well.

Themed food and shopping options will be available at the Isle of Berk. Grab HTTYD goodies like pennants, apparel and home goods now at shop.universalorlando.com. For more information about the other features of the Universal Epic Universe, visit www.UniversalOrlando.com/epicuniverse.
