Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor To Officially Welcome Guests December 15, 2023

The eagerly awaited Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is thrilled to announce its official opening date, set for December 15, 2023. This independently branded property boasts a total of 785 beautifully furnished guest rooms, including 189 top-tier luxury Sunsuites™. Remarkably, it will be the first entirely new resort with over 750 rooms to launch in Southwest Florida in more than thirteen years.

The resort will encompass an impressive 60,000 square feet of meeting and conference facilities, an array of 20 dining options and bars, two spacious pools, and a selection of retail outlets lining a picturesque harborside promenade. On the resort’s third floor, guests will find a cutting-edge fitness center and a luxurious spa. In addition to its enviable waterfront position, Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor will introduce a world-class 18-hole golf course, known as the Aileron Golf Club, exclusively available to hotel guests.

“This level of private investment into a single hotel along the Southwest coast of Florida is unprecedented to the area and so is the experience we’ve built here,” said Micah Richins, President & COO of Sunseeker Resorts. “Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor will provide the region with a stellar array of hospitality and culinary experiences that will attract guests from around the world. We are incredibly proud to debut what we believe will become the Gulf Coast’s premier destination along with the incredible amenities and unbelievable talent at the resort.”

Guests choosing to stay at Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor will have the privilege of selecting from a signature array of guestrooms and suites. The resort’s accommodations span from premium rooms inspired by the coast to the opulent Sunsuites™, which encompass luxurious one-to-three bedroom layouts ranging from 875 to 1,700 square feet. Each of these well-appointed spaces features a chef-level kitchen equipped with Sub-Zero/Wolf stainless steel appliances, a welcoming entertainment area, and a generously proportioned private outdoor balcony.

This new resort is poised to become the hub of activity in Charlotte Harbor, offering visitors a gateway to some of the most exquisite amenities on the gulf coast. These include a cutting-edge 7,100-square-foot fitness center, a full-service spa and salon, and two pools, comprising a 21,000-square-foot adults-only rooftop oasis and a 117,000-square-foot ground-level paradise (expected to be the largest pool in Southwest Florida).

The convention area will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will feature two waterfront ballrooms complete with top-notch A/V systems. Complementing these ballrooms will be two executive boardrooms, 12 meeting rooms, and an ideation suite with three separate breakout rooms.

Guests will also enjoy access to an exclusive, resort-guest-only 18-hole golf experience known as Aileron. This golf course will feature high-end practice facilities equipped with Totracer Range technology and additional culinary offerings. Recently highly rated by the FSGA (with a course rating of 74.1 and a slope of 134), it will compete with some of the finest courses in the state.

Beyond event spaces, fitness areas, and lifestyle offerings, Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is set to introduce an exceptional dining collection and an innovative beverage program to Southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast. Guests will have the opportunity to savor a unique lineup of seven standalone restaurants, eleven bars and lounges, two poolside options, and a 25,000-square-foot food hall experience. The eleven bars and lounges on the property will feature an extensive wine program showcasing a selection of internationally acclaimed fine wines, modern cocktails, local beer, and tropical libations.

The resort is located just ten minutes from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), where guests will enjoy convenient access to and from their flights.
