Royal Caribbean & Ponting Wines Raise a Glass Together

Guests traveling from Brisbane and Sydney aboard Royal Caribbean can experience a delicious new collaboration with Ponting Wines. This partnership was born through the brands’ mutual commitment to delivering memorable experiences for their patrons. Guests aboard Ovation, Quantum and Brilliance of the Seas can taste six of Ponting’s award-winning wines. Amongst these are fan favorites Ponting First Session Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc and Ponting Mowbray Boy Tasmanian Pinot Noir. The Ponting collection is available at all restaurants and bars, as well as in the Deluxe Beverage Package.

In 2019, winemaker Ben Riggs and former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting and his wife, Rianna, began Ponting Wines. Since its inception, the co-founders have honed their craft to ensure the highest quality in flavor and complexity.

“Ponting Wines is an embodiment of our shared passion for beautiful wines and the dedication and passion that has driven me throughout my career,” said Ponting. “Sustainability is at the forefront of every decision, ensuring that all our fruit is ethically sourced from local growers in Tasmania and South Australia. We take great pride in our partnership with Royal Caribbean that aligns with our core values. We look forward to holidaymakers creating new memories while savoring a glass of our range of Ponting Wines.”

“Through this collaboration with one of Australia’s most premium winemakers, we look forward to elevating our guests’ holidays even further,” said Kathryn Lock, Director of Marketing in Australia and New Zealand, Royal Caribbean International. “The Royal Caribbean team is celebrating this exciting partnership with a glass of Ponting’s The Pinnacle McLaren Vale Shiraz!”

For the 2023-2024 season, Royal Caribbean will have three award-winning ships traveling across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Ovation and Quantum will sail from Brisbane and Sydney beginning October 28th. Brilliance of the Seas is the newest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, which recently made its debut in Sydney. It will sail to unique destinations, including Port Douglas and Melbourne, Australia; Suva, Fiji; and Luganville, Vanuatu.
