Fairfield by Marriott Expands to Europe with Copenhagen Nordhavn

Located in Copenhagen’s North Harbour district, the Copenhagen Nordhavn marks the debut of Fairfield by Marriott in Europe. Fairfield by Marriott consists of nearly 2,000 properties globally, making it the second largest brand within Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio. As a brand, Fairfield by Marriott focuses on providing simplistic, reliable hotel experiences at a great value.

“As the brand’s inaugural property in Europe, the opening of Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn marks a significant milestone in our strategic growth plan for the Fairfield by Marriott brand,” said Mary Garris Vice President, Classic Select Global Brand Management. “Fairfield by Marriott is known for its rich heritage that values a simple, seamless, and stress-free experience which pairs well with modern Scandinavian culture and design, making Copenhagen the ideal city to introduce our European-inspired aesthetic.”

Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn is the premiere hotel featuring the brand’s European design by OCCA Design Studio. It will serve as the blueprint for the brand’s additional properties across Europe. For the design, OCCA collaborated with Mette Fredskild Design and Henning Larsen Architects to encapsulate the Danish value of “hygge”. Public spaces and rooms feature tranquil, natural colors and soft organic shapes to inspire relaxation. The 222 guest rooms feature comfortable beds, a shower, complimentary Wi-Fi and a mobile desk. 20 of the guest rooms also include a view of the sea.

Copenhagen Nordhavn showcases Fairfield’s flexible public spaces, to help travelers looking to work or relax. In the Social Market, guests can grab a complimentary breakfast or choose quick snack and drink options. The lobby transitions from day to night to inspire connectivity and productivity. The Fairfield also includes a Fitness Center to help guests maintain their workout routines while traveling.

Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn is located in the Århusgadekvarteret neighborhood. As one of Northern Europe’s largest new urban development projects, North Harbour strives to be a fully sustainable, carbon-neutral hub. It was created as a “five-minute city”, in which public transport, shopping, restaurants, local facilities, green space and the waterfront are all within five minutes’ walk.

Fairfield by Marriott will soon open additional locations across Europe. They include destinations such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and more. To stay up to date on what’s to come or book your travel, visit www.marriottbonvoy.com.
