Priscilla Block is a 29-year old country music singer and songwriter finally experiencing her hard work paying off in the music industry. Beginning her career in her teenage years, Block faced hardships different from others her age, setting back her achievements. After a chance encounter with Taylor Swift, Block decided to make her main focus music and decided to quit school and her job. Now, creating songs is her main focus as she makes a name for herself in country music.
She first gained mainstream recognition in 2020 when her song “Just About Over You” went viral on TikTok. The song remained on top country music charts for a whole year, and hit No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart and All Genre chart. In 2022, she released her first studio album titled Welcome To The Block Party where she delivers catchy-tunes that are unapologetically herself. Her single “He’s My Man” came out in October of last year and is all over the country music airwaves.
Priscilla is dropping a brand-new single, “Yard Sale,” tomorrow — and it’s one you won’t want to miss. Known for her relatable lyrics and unapologetic storytelling, Priscilla takes heartbreak to the front lawn in this cheeky yet emotional anthem about letting go of an ex, one item at a time.
We caught up with Priscilla to talk about the inspiration behind “Yard Sale,” the songwriting process, and why sometimes the best way to move on is by putting a price tag on the past.

Tell me the story behind “Yard Sale”?
’Yard Sale’ is honestly a song I never thought I was going to release. When we wrote the song it was so fun. I loved the song but didn’t know if it was too out there, but my band was like ‘Priscilla, you have to put out Yard Sale’ and every time I have shown it to people, they tell me I have to release it. Then I thought, let me see what the internet thinks. I started posted videos, and it totally just raised its hand. Before too long, we were back in the studio, taking the demo and making it what it is now. Over 11.3 million people have already heard it, and it isn’t even out yet.
What is the best item she has ever found at a Yard Sale?
I am the yard sale queen. I love a good deal; I love a good thrift store. I can negotiate pretty well. I used to do a lot more yard sale shopping, but I don’t have as much time anymore. I have found couches, night stands, full sets of plates for my kitchen, decanters, anything that is a good deal. Some vintage camo, 10/10.
Your new single, “He’s My Man” is all over the radio. I hear it every hour on Sirius XM. How would you describe your perfect man?
My perfect man is respectful, he’s honest. He’s loyal and just kind hearted and hard working. I love a blue-collar man.

Have you ever had a place inspire a song?
Yes. I honestly feel like a lot of my songs pull from different places that I’ve been. I actually have a song called “Couple Spring Breaks Back,” and that’s inspired by Myrtle Beach, which is where we used to spring break growing up. Myrtle Beach always kind of holds a special place in my heart.
How do you stay connected to your fans? Do you do it through social media or more in person?
My fans are honestly the reason why I’m here and they’ve given me a voice and a platform. I stay connected in any way that will make the fans feel seen, whether that’s online or at a show or even after a show. I’ve started writing notes to my fans. It’s kind of like a little diary that I do after shows now, and I post it so they can see where my head was during the show. But honestly, the fans are why we’re here. I moved to Nashville when I was 17 years old and just started building fan by fan by fan. They have changed my life. Truly.
Do you have any hidden talents?
A lot of people don’t know this, but I actually can kind of make sourdough, which is wild, because I don’t even cook. I’m like the Uber eats girl, but this year I’ve really started trying cooking more and baking. I’ve recently gotten into making sourdough, and I’m pretty good at it.
What’s your favorite place to get Uber Eats from?
Is it bad, y’all? Why have I ordered McDonald’s multiple times on Uber Eats like that? I really could just get in my car and drive right down there and get some. Sometimes you just want to eat McDonald’s and not talk to anybody or go anywhere. So probably McDonald’s.

What’s your perfect day off while on the road?
My perfect day off on the road would probably be fishing or hunting somewhere. I love just being out in nature and just shutting off. We’re like ’go, go, go’ all the time, so if you just put me in the sun or in the middle of the woods, I am good.
You’ve always been a voice for female empowerment. I think it’s more important now than ever. What advice would you give to young girls now?
My biggest piece of advice for younger girls is that you are growing up, just stay true to who you are. There’s so much pressure in the world to look a certain way. I’ve had all my own insecurities. You just have to be true to yourself and try to block out the noise. Love yourself. We only get one body and we only get one life, so live it up, baby.
What can fans expect in 2025? What’s inspiring you?
2025 is going to be the year. Mark my words. I’m so excited for this year. I have been working on a lot of music over the past couple years. Y’all can expect music and shows and all the vibes for 2025. I would say I’ve been inspired by a lot over the past couple of years. Honestly, a lot of it is just diving into my life and I’ve been on the go a lot. As a new artist, you kind of just wake up in a new place every single day. Lately I’ve kind of just been writing out my diary of where I’ve been in the past two years, in my head. I pull inspiration from that, and fans and friends, and love and all the things.
