Parade Schedule for Mardi Gras 2023

New Orleans is synonymous with Mardi Gras. The fun, festivities, food and culture are the beating heart of the Big Easy. We are so excited to see the full list of parades this year, according to Nola.com!

Mardi Gras 2023 begins on Feb. 21, but it already gets going in January, as some parties and parades have already begun but there is still much more to see! Below are a few you can catch at the end of January and throughout February!

Rex — Tuesday, Feb. 21, 11 a.m., St. Charles Avenue route.

Elks-Orleans and Crescent City truck parades — Tuesday, Feb. 21, following Rex, St. Charles Avenue route.

The Societe de Sainte Anne and other marching clubs –Tuesday, Feb. 21, morning, Bywater to French Quarter.

General Routes of Parades

Many New Orleans float parades begin on Napoleon Avenue and head downtown on St. Charles Avenue to Canal Street where they are near the of the route.

Some parades such as the Nefertiti parade in New Orleans East, NOMTOC on the West Bank and Endymion, begin in Mid-City and travel to the Convention Center. Zulu begins in Central City and continues to Treme.
