Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel Unwraps a Whimsical Holiday Experience with “How The Social Club Stole Christmas”

Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel, the boutique gem of South Beach’s iconic Art Deco District, is ushering in the festive season with an all-new immersive holiday takeover at its signature restaurant, The Social Club. From November 20 through December 28, How The Social Club Stole Christmas invites guests into a vibrant, storybook-inspired world where festive cheer meets playful mischief. The limited-time pop-up blends theatrical décor, interactive holiday fun, and a lineup of imaginative dishes and cocktails crafted to enchant guests of all ages.

“Seasonal creativity is part of the Surfcomber DNA, and this year’s holiday transformation is one of our most inventive yet,” said Mohan Koka, General Manager of Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. “The Social Club will feel like stepping onto the set of a whimsical holiday film—complete with the culinary expertise our guests have come to love.”

“This experience is about bringing people together in a space that’s festive, welcoming, and just a little mischievous,” added Victoria Palacio, Marketing Manager at Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. “We wanted to create something joyful and unexpected—a place for shared moments, big laughs, and holiday magic.”

A Fully Immersive Holiday Transformation

Throughout the season, The Social Club will be adorned in spirited décor: twinkling lights, bold holiday colors, nostalgic accents, and imaginative visual installations that bring its playful theme to life. Guests can participate in classic, hands-on holiday activities such as gingerbread house decorating and ornament or nutcracker painting—turning the restaurant into a cozy, cinematic winter workshop.

Seasonal Menu Highlights

The culinary team has crafted a whimsical seasonal menu inspired by nostalgic holiday flavors. Guests can enjoy starters like a frisée and roasted beet salad with chevré and red berry–shallot vinaigrette, followed by elevated comfort dishes including crispy Southern fried chicken with holiday mash and candy-striped carrots or a maple-glazed smoked ham steak served with green beans, toasted almonds, and lemon garlic gravy. A charming layered trifle—featuring green velvet sponge, custard, and forest berries—offers a picture-perfect finale.
