Day three of Louder Than Life brought more 90-degree weather to loudmouths coming out to see some of the best rock and metal bands in the scene. Nearly 50 artists played over 7 stages as fans rocked out and made frequent stops at hydration stations to stay cool under the powerful sun rays. Headliners for the day included Deftones, Bad Omens, A Perfect Circle, Cypress Hill, I Prevail, and Stone Temple Pilots.

Black Veil Brides performed on Main Stage 2 in the mid-afternoon. Lead vocalist Andy Biersack, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, instrumentalist Jinxx, drummer Christian “CC” Coma, and bassist Lonny Eagleton owned the stage. The band opened with fan-favorite “Knives and Pens.” They also performed their newly released single “Hallelujah” that features Biersack’s harsh vocals and Pitts tearing it up on the guitar.

The newly reunited sludge metal band Acid Bath added Louder Than Life to their list of performances since their 28-year absence. Original members Dax Riggs, Mike Sanchez, and Sammy Duet remain in the band with new members Zack Simmons on drums and Alex Bergeron on bass. The band is currently on tour, getting back into the groove of life on the road with several set concert dates scheduled all the way into July 2026.

Pennsylvania-based heavy metal band Motionless in White stunned the crowd with Chris Cerulli’s on-point shrieks and growls as massive flames rose into the air. They played popular songs “Sign of Life,” “Slaughterhouse,” and ended their set with “Eternally Yours” as fans sang along. The band just announced their new tour alongside bands Bring Me The Horizon, The Plot in You, and Amira Elfekey.

The 1990’s alternative rock band Stone Temple Pilots put on a crowd-pleasing set, playing their biggest hits like “Interstate Love Song” and “Vasoline.” Members of the crowd surfed around as the band jammed out. They ended their set with “Sex Type Thing,” being joined by A Perfect Circle’s drummer Josh Freese for a jam session. The LTL veterans sounded incredible as always.

Metalcore band I Prevail just released their new album Violent Nature of which they performed new songs “NWO,” “Into Hell,” and the title track that has gained a lot of attention from excited fans. The band members were very tentative to the crowd and constantly interacted with fans. The band dedicated one of their more heartfelt songs, “Hurricane” to their manager Dave Shapiro who they tragically lost in the San Diego plane crash back in May.

Circle mosh pits and crowd surfers took over the crowd at the Decibel Stage for Machine Head. They performed four songs from their recent album UNATØNED like “CHØKE ØN THE ASHES ØF YØUR HATE” and “BØNESCRAPER.” Their set ended with a phenomenal run through of “Davidian,” one of the band’s hardest songs as the moshing intensified. Robb Flynn, the band’s only remaining original member, delivered his aggressive vocals with ease and power.

A Perfect Circle put on a show at 7:35 p.m. on Main Stage 1. The band is formed of vocalist Maynard Keenan, guitarists Billy Howerdel and James Iha, drummer Josh Freese, and bassist Matt McJunkins. Drummer Josh Freese just rejoined the band after recently departing the Foo Fighters. The supergroup was energetic in their performance of favorites “The Noose” and “The Outsider.” They ended their set with a bang playing “Judith,” the highest charting single from a rock band’s first album and an ode to Maynard’s mother. The song made it to No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart back in 2000.

By 10 p.m., LTL guests were cramming themselves in at Main Stage 1 to see alternative metal band Deftones. Guests screamed with excitement as the band opened with hit songs “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” and “My Own Summer (Shove It).” Their LTL debut followed the recent release of their new album, Private Music, including a performance of new single “my mind is a mountain” and the first ever live performance of “ecdysis.” Of course, the band was sure to include some of their fan-favorite songs like “Change (In the House of Flies)” and “Cherry Waves.”We’ll return tomorrow with a look into day four, the final day of Louder Than Life 2025!
