Country Radio Broadcasters To Honor Eric Church + Luke Combs

Country Radio Broadcasters has announced that Eric Church and Luke Combs will be the co-recipients of the CRS 2025 Artist Humanitarian Award. To help those impacted by Hurricane Helene in their home state of North Carolina, the pair hosted Concert For Carolina. The event, which took place last October in Charlotte, that drew 82,000 fans. Concert For Carolina was put together by their collective teams in less than a month and raised over $24 million. Church and Combs will receive their award on Friday, February 21, 2025, during the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.

The CRB Artist Humanitarian Award was established in 1990 to recognize country artists whose philanthropic efforts have significantly improved the effectiveness and impact of the causes they support. Past recipients include Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and more.

“Eric Church and Luke Combs’ love for their home state has been nothing short of inspiring,” said CRB Awards Committee Chair Beverlee Brannigan. “Their dedication to helping North Carolina recover after Hurricane Helene and their ongoing efforts show just how much they care. This award is a heartfelt recognition of their commitment, hard work, and genuine compassion for the people of North Carolina. Eric and Luke, we’re proud to honor you.”

Through his nonprofit organization Chief Cares, Eric Church plans to build 100 homes for hurricane victims, beginning in Avery County. In addition to addressing the issue of shelter, Church’s endeavors will help create jobs for local people. He also hopes to help rebuild schools and support local businesses as they recover from the devastation caused by Helene. Church has also signed over all publishing royalties from his latest release, “Darkest Hour”, to the people of North Carolina. At the same time, Luke Combs and his team are working in conjunction with North Carolina-based relief efforts. They are supporting Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
