Rock Hall + Hopeless Records Host Pop Punk Weekend in August

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Hopeless Records celebrate the punk label’s 30th anniversary with a pop punk weekend from August 23rd-25th. The weekend will kick off with Boys Like Girls and Illuminati Hotties on the outdoor PNC Stage on the Union Home Plaza on Friday, August 23rd. Tickets for this event can be found here

On August 24th and 25th, the museum is partnering with Hopeless Records to celebrate their 30th anniversary. At 10:30am on the 24th, the day will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Rock Hall’s installation for this event. The label’s traveling roadshow, “the Hopeless Museum”, will also be available for guests to see on the fourth floor of the museum. Curated items from Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, Guttermouth, Neck Deep, Illuminati Hotties, Waterparks, The Wonder Years, Scene Queen, Thrice, The Used and more will be on display.

In the afternoon, the outdoor plaza will feature performances from Waterparks’ Awsten Knight, Illuminati Hotties, The Wonder Years’ Dan Campbell and a DJ set from Scene Queen. Inside the museum’s Foster Theater, a special Q&A panel will be hosted by Alt Press founder Mike Shea.

Guests in attendance can purchase a vintage design Hopeless shirt from the Rock Hall gift shop, shop a curated collection of punk merch, or take home 30th anniversary zines from the label. The Wonder Years’ mascot, Hank the Pigeon, will be on-site to take selfies with fans.

Tickets for the live performances are $5. A “concert-plus” ticket is also available for $35, which includes the outdoor concert as well as museum admission. A limited number of Rock Hall Hopeless Bundle tickets, which include the aforementioned and access to the Q&A panel with Mike Shea, are available for $45. The Hopeless Records exhibit will only be up the weekend of August 24-25th. To grab a ticket, visit here.
