Celebrate 7-Eleven’s Birthday With A Free Slurpee Today

One way to beat the summer heat is to cool down with a 7-Eleven Slurpee to celebrate the company’s birthday. July 11th marks the company’s 97th birthday and it has become known across the nation as National Slurpee Day.

The company announced it will once again celebrate its birthday on July 11 by giving away free small Slurpee drinks to customers who visit participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores nationwide.

This year, the 97-year-old chain is offering more than just ice-cold treats. Fans can enjoy three distinct deals that extend beyond Slurpee Day’s closing time, making the celebration even bigger:

  • 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can get a coupon for an additional free small Slurpee by scanning their rewards information on Slurpee Day. The coupon must be redeemed before July 31.
  • Customers can score $1 deals on items like pizza and 7-Select gummy candies until July 23.
  • The convenience store is offering 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members the chance to enter to win free snacks and drinks — including Slurpees — for a whole year by shopping for participating products like 7-Select items, Big Bite Hot Dogs, Big Gulps and more.

7-Eleven also teamed up with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and one of its National Champion kids to create a special edition Slurpee cup.

“Slurpee Day is more than just a birthday celebration for 7-Eleven; it’s a beloved tradition that brings communities together,” Marissa Jarratt, the company’s executive vice president and chief marketing and sustainability officer, said in a press release. “This year, we’re thrilled to share this day with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and make a positive impact on kids’ health and in our communities through our in-store fundraising efforts.”

7-Eleven has recently expanded its Slurpee offerings to items that can’t exactly be poured into a cup. New limited-edition treats inspired by the frozen drinks include the Drumstick Slurpee Blue Raspberry Vanilla Cone and the Hostess Twinkees with Cherry Slurpee flavored filling, both are now available at stores nationwide while supplies last.
