Gibson Garage London Marks First Flagship Store Outside U.S.

Beloved instrument brand Gibson has opened the Gibson Garage London, located at 61-62 Eastcastle Street. The space allows guests to explore Gibson’s 130-year history through the ultimate guitar experience. The newest Garage comes on the heels of Gibson Garage Nashville’s successful opening.

“On February 24, we celebrated the opening of the Gibson Garage London, marking an important milestone in our 130 years of history since Orville Gibson started making instruments,” said Cesar Gueikian, President and CEO of Gibson. “The London Garage opening events, the artists that joined us, and most importantly the local and global teams working together to make it happen are evidence that we are setting conditions for the best years of Gibson to be ahead of us.”

Known for its craftsmanship and innovation, the Gibson brand has shaped generations of musicians and music lovers alike. In the past month, the Gibson team gathered with music legends, emerging artists and fans to celebrate the grand opening of the Gibson Garage London. At the kickoff event, icons Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Sir Brian May, James Bay and Rosie Frater-Taylor were on-site to celebrate.

On opening day, fans queued around the block beginning at 4 a.m. for access. Within the first 30 minutes of opening, all of the Gibson Noel Gallagher ‘78 Les Paul Custom hand-signed guitars were completely sold out. Profits from the sale of these guitars benefited the Teenage Cancer Trust. Judas Priest’s Ritchie Faulkner and Gibson Generation Group artist Charlie Churchill came out to enjoy opening day with the fans.

Once inside, guests can play 300+ guitars from the Gibson, Gibson Custom, Gibson Acoustic, Epiphone and Kramer lines. They can also explore the complete collection of Maestro pedals. Inside the Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab, music aficionados can design their own Made-to-Measure guitar. This process begins by choosing a guitar top from the wall, then customizing the instrument inside and out. Visitors can also grab Gibson apparel, gifts, gear and accessories when they visit the 4000-square foot retail space.

The Gibson Garage London is open daily Monday-Saturday from 10:00-7:00 pm and from 12:00-6:00 pm on Sunday. For the latest news and updates, visit https://www.gibson.com/en-GB/garage-london.
