Visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood + Universal Orlando Resort can partake in new, immersive Wicked experiences celebrating the movie. Each destination will have unique Wicked experiences, while both will capture the spirit of the movie and allow guests to step inside the story for themselves before seeing the film in theaters on November 22nd.
In late October, Universal Orlando Resort will open Wicked: The Experience, housed within the former location of the UNIVRS store near the front gate. Once inside, visitors will traverse the yellow brick road and explore a variety of Wicked locations, including Shiz University and Emerald City. Guests can also marvel over the beautiful costumes and props created by the film’s design team.
At Universal Studios Hollywood, the Feature Presentation store and UNIVRS store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood will be transformed into Wicked experiences in late October. Feature Presentation will focus on props from the film, a photo op and once the film is released, costumes will be displayed within the Universal Cinema, an AMC Theatre, at Universal CityWalk.
Both parks feature Fantabulous-themed dining options and delicious Voodoo Doughnuts. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen will also offer limited-time treats inspired by Wicked. Guests wanting to take home a little piece of the Emerald City will be able to choose from a variety of merchandise including apparel, home goods, accessories, toys and more. Some notable options include:
- The Shiz University collection, inspired by the school where Glinda and Elphaba meet. The collection includes a Spirit Jersey, duffle bag, tumbler, hat, journal and more.
- Studio MinaLima creations featuring Wicked-inspired graphics and prints on apparel, accessories, home goods, stationery and confections.
- Items with the official Wicked logo on them, including hats, totes, notebooks and mugs.
- Fashion dolls from Mattel, Funko Pops! and LEGO sets featuring the Land of Oz.
- Loungefly bags.
- Cosplay and prop replicas from The Noble Collection.
Wicked celebrations will open at Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Japan later this year and in early 2025.
