The Savannah Bananas have taken social media by storm with their on-field antics and now the team is setting sail for Bananaland At Sea. The cruise, taking place October 14-18 aboard the Norwegian Jade, will depart from Miami, FL and head to Nassau, Bahamas.
The team has been called “the Greatest Show in Sports” by ESPN. Their choreographed dances, unique scoring celebrations, flaming bats and wild hijinks have amassed them nearly 8 million fans on TikTok alone. They’ve sold out every game at their home field, Historic Grayson Stadium, since their 2016 inaugural season. Therein, the Bananas play their own version of baseball, aptly named Banana Ball, which has new rules to make the game more fast-paced and entertaining. There’s no yawning during the 7th inning stretch with these guys.
Bananaland at Sea will feature The Savannah Bananas and their arch rivals, The Party Animals. Bananaland Cruisers can see Dancing Umpire Vincent Chapman, break-dancing coach Maceo Harrison, the World Famous Bananas Pep Band and more. The senior citizen dance team, The Banana Nanas, and dad bod cheerleading squad, The Man-Nanas, will also make appearances.
Guests will also have the chance to enjoy memorable shore excursions. In Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, they can snorkel, swim with wild pigs, or simply enjoy the white sand beaches. In Nassau, guests can prioritize relaxation at the white sand beaches with perfect crystal-clear waters. Shore excursions can be booked 4-6 weeks prior to sailing.
While this cruise is definitely one of the more comedic options offered by Sixthman, that doesn’t mean it will not be luxurious. The Norwegian Jade has incredible amenities, including fully stocked bars, delicious dining options, the Club Casino and Mandara Spa. There is a Pool Deck with multiple hot tubs, a fitness center and the Sports Court as well.
