Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Will Let The Good Times Roll at Disney

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort to guests on June 28th, 2024. The attraction, which evolved from the reimagining of Splash Mountain, digs a little deeper into the story of “The Princess and the Frog” and New Orleans culture. Here it’s always Mardi Gras season, so expect plenty of music and many new friends. Just like the movie, this attraction reminds guests that everyone has the potential to make their dreams a reality.

Much like the real New Orleans, music is at the heart of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Guests visiting Magic Kingdom for this attraction will meet adorable creatures that sing and play instruments made from the bayou’s natural materials. Tiana’s new friends include an otter, a rabbit, a racoon, a beaver, a turtle and more. Beloved characters such as Princess Tiana, Louis and Mama Odie, Eudora, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen and more make up the Audio-Animatronic figures along the way.

Zydeco and other types of music prevalent in New Orleans will take center stage. PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard created new, original music exclusively for the attraction. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature talent voices from the film reprising their roles. These include Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, and Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana.

From a design perspective, guests can expect to see this attraction filled with authentic NOLA artistry. Louisiana artist Malaika Favorite’s work is part of the queue. Additionally, an original metalwork weathervane from third-generation master blacksmith Darryl Reeves and his apprentice Karina Roca is also on display. New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi’s work inspired much of the attraction as well. To truly encapsulate a trip through the French Quarter, guests’ noses will even be treated to the sweet scent of beignets frying.
