This April 5-9th, Texas Eclipse, will curate a celestial experience featuring 300+ artists, speakers and space and technology luminaries. Wellness gurus, musicians and astronauts from every spaceflight provider will be on the lineup as well. The four-day festival, led by Mitch Morales, celebrating the solar eclipse will take place at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas.
For Texas Eclipse, the team at Meow Wolf has dreamt up Gone Fishing. Texan pastimes of fishing trips and lakeside lounging inspired this fully immersive art installation. By day, guests can hear captivating tales and catch performances at the local livery. Once dusk falls, the lake will glow with Neo-Burlesque performances and other maritime-themed entertainment geared toward older audiences. We hear there’s even a resident psychic catfish.
Meow Wolf’s Grapevine exhibition, The Real Unreal, will host a multidimensional party to celebrate the solar eclipse on April 8th from 10AM to 8PM. This family-friendly event unlocks the portal between The Real Unreal and the Milky Way with space-themed activities, interstellar snacks and a solar eclipse watch party. Guests can choose from a variety of events, such as cyanotype paper crafting sessions, shadow puppetry, face painting and tarot readings. Out of this world food and beverage options will be served up by Celestial Brewing, Niki’s Popcorn and Hive Bakery. To participate, guests must reserve a ticket for April 8 at The Real Unreal. To attend the viewing party, guests should reserve a time slot before noon.
Festival tickets and standard camping for Texas Eclipse ranges from $249-649 plus fees. They are available in 2-, 3-, and 4-day general admission and VIP options. Camping add-ons, such as early entry, car camping pass, RV slot and glamping belle tent, range from $75-1750.
