Perks coming to Disney World in Orlando for Guests

The Walt Disney Company announced a series of beneficial changes coming to Disney Parks for guests. The perks include Disney World parks globally including Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Disney’s largest property Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It’s made up of 43 square miles consisting of four theme parks, two water parks, and 32 themed resorts.

Walt Disney World announced the following changes starting soon:

1) Complimentary Self-Parking when staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. This use to be one of the many perks that Disney had before Bob Chapek was named CEO. Returning CEO Bob Iger listened to the Disney fans and returned free overnight parking effective immediately.

“Beginning this evening, Jan. 10, overnight self-parking will once again be offered complimentary to guests staying at Disney Resort hotels at Walt Disney World. This is a Disney difference many of you have asked us to bring back, and we’re happy to reintroduce it to make your vacation a little easier and more affordable – whether you’re road tripping across the country, renting a car or vacationing as a local Florida resident,” according to Disney’s press release and official site.

2) Disney Resort hotel guests will continue to receive complimentary standard parking at Walt Disney World theme parks. Complimentary on-site transportation options such as buses, monorails and Disney Skyliner will also continue to be offered to hotel guests.

3) An anticipated change came to life for annual passholders of Walt Disney World. The removal of Park reservations for select days and parks, for more spontaneous visits.

“Beginning in the next few months, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park,” according to Disney’s release. For full annual passholder information, go here.

4) Disney Photo Pass is now an added perk for Disney World Genie+ Guests. One of the most beloved perks is getting that photo in front of the castle, or on Space Mountain. Now, guests who buy the Genie+ Service will get free digital downloads of their attraction photos for that day.

“Beginning in the next few months, guests purchasing Disney Genie+ service will also receive digital downloads of their Disney PhotoPass attraction photos, taken in the park on the day of their purchase, at no additional charge. Attraction photos are taken while in the parks at more than a dozen of our most popular attractions including Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Test Track, Expedition Everest and more,” according to Disney’s press release.
