Beginning November 4th, Delta is partnering with Chef José Andrés to offer its passengers a menu full of Spanish cuisine. The new menu features comforting and flavorful foods inspired by Chef José Andrés’ roots that were chosen for their ability to maintain flavor, texture and authenticity during air travel. Delta One and Delta First passengers can experience this partnership first, with a phased rollout continuing through 2026.
“Delta is a curator of taste experiences,” said Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Dining Experience. “Just like we lead in operational reliability, we are on the leading edge of culinary innovation — offering delicious meals that build a sense of connection to the world we serve while reflecting culture, craft and care.”
“Many people, including me, love to travel for food…they are looking for a new taste, a new dish, a new ingredient,” shared Chef José Andrés. “Well, now your journey can start before you even land! It is a dream to be able to bring these flavors into the skies with our friends at Delta.”
Tantalizing Taste Buds at 30,000 Feet

Chef José Andrés’ team and Delta’s culinary experts worked hard to provide authentic Spanish cuisine in-flight. Together the team achieved perfect portion sizes, reheating methods and presentation to mimic the tapas bar experience. Entrées include:
- Spanish Tortilla with Pisto Manchego: a classic Spanish egg-and-potato omelet elevated with a rich vegetable stew, available at breakfast.
- Braised Beef Short Rib in a Mojo Rojo BBQ Sauce: tender and savory beef short rib with a tangy, smoky sauce and creamy polenta that is quintessential comfort food.
- Stuffed Piquillo Peppers: filled with goat cheese and mushrooms and drizzled with piquillo bechamel, this dish packs a flavorful punch.
- Spanish Style Chicken: a chicken thigh in a rich sauce of sherry and dried fruit, served with celeriac-potato puree, roasted carrots and pearl onions.
Toasting Great Food With An Updated Wine List

Delta’s team and Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson evaluated hundreds of wines to curate a diverse selection for this list. This delicious offering will be available through September 2026. Delta travelers can enjoy pours from some of the industry’s biggest names, like Jordan, Famille Perrin Les Sinards Châteauneuf Du Pape, 2022, Albert Bichot Pouilly-Fuissé, Rippa Dorii Verdejo, and Invivo X by SJP Sauvignon Blanc. Delta One’s exclusive champagne partner, Champagne Taittinger, is also now available year-round.
“The 2026 Delta wine program highlights wineries that embody what we and our Delta customers hold dear: authentic hospitality, a commitment to sustainable farming and outstanding quality that translates to the glass as the pure deliciousness we all look for in great wine,” said Delta’s Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson.
Some of the highlights of the wine program are:
- Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon (available January-March 2026): boysenberry and black currant are well-balanced with baking spice from oak aging. The result is a velvety, rich red that pairs beautifully with comfort food.
- Marchesi Antinori Cont’Ugo Super Tuscan (available January-March 2026): dark cherry and plum mingle with Mediterranean herbs and a hint of forest floor. The result is a rich and velvety pour that pairs with bold flavors.
- Trefethen Family Vineyards Estate Grown Chardonnay (available January-March 2026): this zesty white features crisp apple, stone fruit and a whiff of gardenia. This bright pour pairs well with shellfish.
- Matthiasson Carbernet Sauvignon (available January-March 2026): cherry, blackberry and mulberry meet a hint of graphite and cedar. This bold, versatile red goes well with just about anything.
- VIK “A” Cabernet Sauvignon (available through December 2025): ripe berries, plums and cocoa notes create this lush Chilean wine. It is best served alongside savory dishes or dark chocolate desserts.
