Carnival to Host Two $1M Carnival Slot Tournaments in 2024

Carnival Cruise Line has decided to host two $1M Slot Tournaments in 2024 after the success of its recent tournament. 1,691 guests competed aboard Carnival Celebration earlier this month in the largest-ever casino competition in the cruise line’s history. The top 100 players earned prizes. A grand prize of $500,000 was awarded to the tournament’s winner, Rhonda Anderson, on November 2, 2023. Second place winner Courtney Paschal was awarded $150,000 and third place winner Robert Blevins received $50,000.

“Carnival has a history as an industry leader with our casinos and our $1M Slot Tournament not only exemplifies that, but it celebrates it. Our onboard casinos bring fun and excitement to our Carnival Players Club members on all our ships, and this week has been a great way to bring many of those valued guests together and amplify the enthusiasm,” said Jonathan Lask, Carnival’s vice president of CRM and performance marketing.

In 2024, two $1M Slot Tournaments will take place aboard Carnival ships. The first will be on Carnival Jubilee, the line’s new Excel-class ship. It departs from Galveston, Texas on May 18, 2024. The second slot competition will take place on Mardi Gras, which departs from Port Canaveral, Florida on November 2, 2024. Carnival plans on hosting two tournaments in 2025 as well. The slot competitions are open to both Carnival Players Club guests and new guests.

In addition to the two $1M Slot Tournaments, Carnival Cruise Line also hosts three blackjack tournaments throughout the year. The prizes for these tournaments total $50,000.
