Bonnaroo 2025 Cut Short By Storm: How to Get Your Refunds and Keep the Party Going in Nashville

Late Friday, June 13th, organizers confirmed what many had feared: Bonnaroo 2025 was officially canceled after one full day of performances, due to serious safety threats from heavy and persistent rain forecasted through the weekend. With a soggy Centeroo and campground grounds turning treacherous, they evacuated promptly and urged caution for those stuck in the mud.

Refund Relief

Here’s how the refunds are being handled:

  • One‑day tickets for Friday through Sunday (admission or parking) will be fully refunded via Front Gate within 30 days.
  • Four‑day passes and camping tickets will be refunded at 75% of purchase price .
  • Timing: Payments should appear back on original methods within about a month .

Tip: If your ticket came from a secondary seller (like reseller/fan platforms), check that ticket’s transferability and refund policies.

Nashville Steps In

One advantage to the Bonnaroo location in Middle Tennessee is its close proximity of Nashville, Music City USA. In small comfort to uprooted Bonnaroovians, Nashville’s live‑music venues are stepping up for one last hurrah:

  • Many acts originally set to appear over the weekend are moving to Nashville stages—venues like the Brooklyn Bowl, Goodnight Nashville, Barstool Sports, The Cannery Nashville, The Pinnacle and newly opened Skinny Dennis bar in East Nashville are reportedly hosting ad‑hoc performances. Local promoters are fast‑tracking these pop‑ups to replicate that Bonnaroo vibe closer to town.
  • Camp-inspired gatherings: Expect smaller, intimate “farm style” shows in outdoor bars and patios around Nashville, with artists spontaneously cutting sets between flights and headlines.

Bonnaroo Backup Plans

  1. Check your email and Bonnaroo app for updates on scheduled refund processing.
  2. Contact Front Gate support if you bought tickets directly—refunds are automatic, but support can confirm timelines.
  3. Resell tickets- If you used third‑party resale, go to that platform’s policies.
  4. Explore Nashville listings: Google “Nashville Bonnaroo replacement show” or check venue calendars—there’s bound to be a flood of last‑minute gigs starting tonight.
  5. Keep your ear to the ground: Social media is lighting up with surprise sets and meetups. Bonnaroovians are rallying to make the most of what’s left of festival weekend.

Why It Matters

Cancelling after one day was heartbreaking for festival‑lovers—acts like Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, Hozier, Vampire Weekend and Nelly were cancelled and fans were disappointed but with safety top priority—especially campers trapped in flooded grounds—the move was necessary .

The Bonnaroo Spirit Lives On

True Bonnaroovians aren’t letting rain wash away the fun. Instead, they’re carrying the festival spirit into overnight drives, Nashville dives, and pop‑up barn shows around town. It’s a testament to the community’s resilience—even when Mother Nature disrupts the plans, the music goes on elsewhere.

So, even if Bonnaroo 2025 ended early, the music doesn’t have to. Apply for your refund, snag tickets to Nashville’s impromptu gigs, and keep the Bonnaroo magic alive—no mud necessary. Weekend warriors, this isn’t over—it’s just relocating.

Stay tuned, stay dry, and keep dancing under clear skies (or at least under a Nashville roof).
