Condé Nast Traveler Reveals The Top Train Trips of 2022

Condé Nast Traveler has unveiled their list of the best train trips of this year. From South America and Asia to Canada and all over Europe, Australia and more there are a plethora of breathtaking train trips to be had!

Train trips across India snagged four spots on the list of 20 routes. Palace On Wheels landed within the Top 5. The path of the notable train goes from New Delhi through Jaipur in Rajasthan. The majestic route brings visitors to UNESCO sites like the Amer Fort as well and historical palaces!

South America also snags four train spots on the list. In the number two spot is the Belmond Andean Explorer. This route goes between two cities in Peru, Arequipa and Cusco where travelers can visit ancient Incan ruins. Visitors can also experience an excursion to Lake Titicaca in the Andes Mountains, bordering Peru and Bolivia!

Seven Stars in Kyushu in Japan takes the top slot on Condé Nast Traveler’s list. For train travelers, the experience offers a lush journey around the island of Kyushu, Japan’s third-largest island. The train makes stops to shrines, onsens, porcelain studios and more! Speaking of porcelain, on the train guests will find luxury from handcrafted porcelain dinner plates, finely designed bathrooms, beds, and an overall lavish experience.
