Redemption Bar will feature a zero-proof cocktail menu inspired by the lyrics that guided McBryde’s path to sobriety. The space is an entertainment venue and bar focused on welcoming authenticity, connection and original songwriting. It’s fitting that McBryde’s bar would be within Eric Church’s six-story venue, Chief’s. The two artists have both built their careers on vulnerability and paving their own paths. Redemption Bar is slated to open on August 28th.
“When the opportunity to make my mark on Broadway came, I knew I wanted to create a space that champions what’s made a difference in my life; a space that lifts up the brushed aside, and makes sure everyone feels welcome,” McBryde says.
Fostering Community
As someone who has been sober for three years, Ashley McBryde saw the need for a space that normalized not having to consume alcohol in pursuit of community. Redemption Bar was born from the ethos that everyone is welcome. While it prioritizes its non-alcoholic options, the bar will also serve alcohol.

“Redemption is a great place to start a conversation,” McBryde beams. “A spot with incredible drinks of all kinds that are as well crafted and thought out as the songs you’re hearing from the vagabonds, drifters, and dreamers that make this music city, Music City.”
A Place for Songwriters
With the opening of Redemption, McBryde joins many of her peers in adding to the nightlife of Music City. On any given night, visitors to Broadway can step inside bars and honky tonks and experience live music. Redemption will also have a strong artistic focus to help patrons experience up-and-coming artists.
“Songwriters are the backbone of this community,” says McBryde, “and it’s important to me to create a place for all the tourists on lower Broadway to experience original music from some of the people who are keeping dreams alive in this town.”
