Country Newcomer Vincent Mason Talks Viral Hits, Tour Life, and the Wildest Travel Story You’ll Hear All Year

Vincent Mason is an up and coming country artist from Roswell, Georgia. His style fits right into the new mainstream pop-sounding-country. At just 24-years-old, Vincent writes all of his own lyrics and hones in on his own life experiences to create narratives he can translate into song. His 2024 single “Hell is a Dance Floor” has earned him over 17 million streams, becoming his breakout hit and earning him recognition from other artists. His most recent single, “Wish You Well” serves as a heartbreak anthem that will fuel the windows-down car rides this summer.

Back in 2023, Vincent toured with Ashley Cooke and opened shows for Parker McCollum, Niko Moon, and Gavin Adcock. This coming summer, Vincent will join singer/songwriter Riley Green on his Damn Country Music Tour. He has also been selected as an opener for renowned country musicians like Luke Bryan, Megan Moroney, and Parker McCollum for select dates. You can also catch Vincent at various music festivals this summer like the Carolina Country Music Fest and Rock The South.

We had the chance to meet with Vincent Mason in Nahsville at Country Now Live to talk about his must-pack items, what’s in store for 2025, and his craziest travel story.

What’s your perfect day in Roswell, Georgia?

I would say roll over to Taco Mac and then probably do nothing after that. Taco Mac is a wing place. I think it’s only in Georgia. It’s a sports bar; like a wing chain, so it’s my favorite place to go.

Tell me the story behind “Wish You Well.”

It’s the only song that I didn’t write that I’ve ever recorded. I just loved it. I feel like it fit everything else I was doing. I think if you lined up a bunch of songs that I wrote and tried to pick the one that I didn’t, I don’t know if you’d pick “Wish You Well.” It felt like a perfect match. I’m a really big fan of all the songwriters on it and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to sing that one. I’m glad they trusted me with it.

What are your must-pack travel items on the road?

A Celsius energy drink for sure, and an Xbox to pass the time. Probably a guitar.

Have you found any hidden gems in your travels?

Oxford, Ohio. The Miami University visit. It’s just a great town. It’s a great time. I didn’t know anything about it or about the school, but it was so fun. That’s my hidden gem. That’s the exciting place that I’ve found.

What’s in store for 2025?

Going to radio for the very first time. We’re excited for that. We’ve got some pretty fun tour opening slots that I’m really grateful to be on as well. Riley Green, Parker McCollum, another one that I can’t say yet, but we’re also really excited about it. We’re headlining for the first time too so it’s a really exciting year. It feels like a building year for us. We’re just really grateful to be doing it. New music too. New album on the way. I think we’re going to go in and try to record it next month.

What’s your craziest travel story?

We were driving to Bethel, New York to open a show for Luke Bryan, and we hit a black bear with our van. There were very thick woods. We were worried about hitting a deer, but we hit a black bear. It rolled off the road. We don’t know if it was okay. The van was busted, one of the fog lights. Other than that, we just kept on chugging and made it to the show. An eagle flew into the windshield the next day also. So, two for one story there.

How do you stay connected with your fans? Do you ever feel like social media is too invasive?

I don’t think so. I think social media is a great way to stay connected. I think it’s the best way to get people to hear your music. I feel like I could post something at any time and reach people that want to hear it and find new people and keep growing the audience. I try to use it that way. I don’t think it’s too invasive, as long as you can control it. I think you can end up spending too much time on there or worrying about it too much. But I think if you’re just using it to share the music that you love, then you can’t go wrong.
