American spirit, fun and freedom is at the forefront of Carnival Cruise Line’s programming to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. As an official America250 partner and the cruise line that sails the most Americans, Carnival has planned many onboard activations, ship meet-ups and has recently released a new crest featuring “From Sea to Shining Sea” on the bows of U.S. ships, beginning with Carnival Magic and Carnival Legend.

Onboard Activations & Community Festivities From Sea to Shining Sea
To celebrate, Carnival has announced the following onboard activations:
- Embarkation on select ships featuring forty-foot patriotic inflatables on deck
- All ships featuring 250th birthday banners and decor
- US YAY! Parties, including balloon drops and visits from Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat
- Red, White and Blue Deck Parties
- Specialty cocktails, strawberry shortcake, limited-edition America250 Coke cans and “America’s Cruisin” beer
- Ship meetups on July 4th between seven ships sailing from the East Coast to Grand Bahama, Celebration Key for fireworks
- Ship meetups on July 4th on the West Coast to watch Port of San Diego’s Big Bay Boom, sponsored by Carnival
- Presentation of an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol to one Military family on each sailing the week of July 4th
- All veterans and active-duty military on sailings the week of July 4th will receive a special edition military pin
Festivities are not limited to those taking a cruise. Community partners and veterans will be invited to homeport celebrations in the following cities:
- In Baltimore aboard Carnival Pride on June 28th
- In Long Beach aboard Carnival Radiance on June 30th
- In Jacksonville aboard Carnival Elation on July 2nd
- In Tampa aboard Carnival Paradise on July 2nd
Community celebrations will also be sponsored by the brand the following days:
- In Norfolk, VA at Virginia Sail250 Fireworks Show on June 20th
- In San Diego, at San Diego Bay Boom on July 4th
- In Miami-Dade County, FL, at Miami-Dade 250 Independence Day Celebration on July 4th
