As the tenth anniversary of the Women’s Travel Fest came to a close, some big news ended the weekend. Founder Kelly Lewis was handing over the festival to trusted travel entrepreneur Alex Jimenez of Travel Fashion Girl.
The last day of the fest started on a high note with the extraordinary woman Lei Wang. She is the first Asian woman to climb the highest peaks on each of the seven continents. Her incredible story encouraged not only to start thinking about goals but making a plan of action to achieve them.
Pauline Frommer, the Co-President of FrommerMedia and Editorial Director of Frommer’s Guidebooks graced the stage next. She shared all kinds of tips, tricks and useful information to on the best times to book flights, the best days to fly, booking accommodation and much more!
Travelers Erica James, Jen Ruiz, Kendra Abney, and Mita Carriman all talked about how to travel and maximize your travel while having and keeping your career. Especially if your job is remote either full-time or hybrid, more travel is possible with planning and communication.
Another interesting panel was about monetizing your content. The panel consisted of Victoria M. Walker, Nikki Vargas, and Danielle Desir who are all travel content creators who get paid for their work.They talked about good, bad and the ugly of each medium and how to find the one that’s right for you.
Everyone wanted to travel in luxury on a deal. Panelists Ashley McCurdy, Stephanie Zito, and Ashley Peterson talked about snagging “First Class Travel On A Budget.” Hacks and tips were shared on how to spend your coin wisely on your passion for travel.
While the festival will be changing leadership, women will always be excited about traveling and stoked about this very intimate and special conference. Here’s to 10 more years of Women’s Travel Fest!
