Founded in 2014, Liquidity Wines was created with a vision of producing premium wines that reflect the unique terroir of the South Okanagan while creating an unforgettable visitor experience. The winery’s hillside location offers panoramic views stretching across Okanagan Lake to the surrounding mountains, making it easy to understand why guests often linger long after their tasting has ended.

Our visit began with a tasting of the 2020 Viognier, a beautifully balanced white wine that showcased bright stone fruit flavors with floral aromatics and crisp acidity. It’s an elegant introduction to Liquidity’s winemaking philosophy, which focuses on expressing the character of the vineyard while allowing each varietal to shine.

A Winery Designed to Be Experienced

Liquidity is much more than a tasting room. The property is designed as a complete wine country retreat, featuring walking paths through outdoor gardens, spectacular viewpoints overlooking the vineyards, and even two luxury suites that allow guests to spend the night surrounded by the vines.

Guests can arrange for a private chef to prepare dinner in the suite, creating a personalized culinary experience paired with Liquidity’s award-winning wines without ever leaving the property.

Whether you’re sipping wine on the patio or watching the sun set over Okanagan Lake, the peaceful setting makes it easy to slow down and appreciate everything the region has to offer.

An Outstanding Wine Pairing Lunch

One of the highlights of our visit was an incredible multi-course lunch prepared by Estate Chef Joshua Bauerlein, whose menu showcased some of British Columbia’s finest local ingredients. The meal celebrated regional producers, including Codfathers Seafood Market, Two Rivers Meats, and PlotTwist Farms, with every course thoughtfully paired alongside Liquidity wines.

The lunch began with an elegant Beef Carpaccio, accompanied by cabbage slaw, bok choy, miso-lime dressing, lemongrass mayonnaise, and toasted pumpkin seeds. The freshness and vibrant flavors paired beautifully with Liquidity’s Reserve Brut, whose lively bubbles and crisp citrus notes complemented the richness of the beef while cleansing the palate between bites.

The entrée featured an exceptional Duck Duo served with potato pavé, broccolini, rich duck jus, and a delicate morel mushroom foam. The dish was paired with the winery’s 2022 Dividend, a Bordeaux-inspired red blend that delivered layers of dark fruit, spice, and silky tannins. The wine’s structure and complexity perfectly matched the richness of the duck, making it one of the standout pairings of the afternoon.

Dessert was equally impressive. A light and creamy Mascarpone Mousse was served with raspberry and cranberry coulis, strawberry-rhubarb compote, strawberry chocolate, and crisp feuilletine. The sweet finale was paired with Liquidity’s 2025 Rosé of Pinot Noir, whose bright berry flavors and refreshing acidity balanced the dessert without overpowering it.
