For those who are now going to the office again or looking to switch up their daily work bag, Maverick & Co. has a great offering in their Manhattan Leather Briefcase.
The Travel Addict tried the navy and tiger orange colored briefcase, which normally retails for $352.00 but, as of this writing, is currently listed for $299.00 on the Hong Kong-based company’s website.
The briefcase is a roomy 16.3 inches wide and 11.6 inches high with a diameter of 2.6 inches, making it large enough for a 16-inch laptop and with plenty of room for my 14-inch MacBook Pro.
One of the first details that stands out about the Manhattan Leather Briefcase is the Saffiano leather, which may be somewhat unfamiliar to many consumers, but it’s famous for its diagonal lines and cross-hatch pattern ensuring long-lasting durability. It’s slightly more firm than some other forms of leather, but that’s also part of its appeal for durability and water resistance.
This briefcase isn’t meant to be flashy by default, but at least with the navy and tiger orange version, it’s the perfect balance of professional and practical with just enough of a pop, thanks to the subtle orange trim on the side of the bag.
Inside is a different story. Most of the entire lining, made of recycled polyester, is all tiger orange, with a padded pocket for your laptop, slots for pens and your phone and plenty of crevices to tuck in whatever you might need for your meeting or quick jaunt across town. We love a color on the inside of bags so it is easier to see and locate items that are inside.
Maverick & Co. also seem to have considered the small details with this briefcase, which is branded on the polished silver hardware. The inner compartment also includes a magnetic closure for additional organization and the shoulder strap includes extra padding from previous editions of the product.
If you’re looking for a briefcase and want something modern that allows you to go about your day, no matter the setting or destination, the Manhattan Leather Briefcase should definitely be up for consideration.
