Hotel Review: The Fairlane Nashville Delivers Style, Comfort, and a Perfect Downtown Escape

Nashville has no shortage of incredible hotels, but after my recent stay at The Fairlane Hotel, it quickly earned a spot among my favorite downtown properties.

Combining retro-inspired design with modern luxury, The Fairlane offers the best of both worlds: easy access to the excitement of Music City while providing a peaceful retreat from the crowds. Whether you’re in town for a concert, a weekend getaway, or simply exploring one of America’s most vibrant cities, The Fairlane is the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay.

A Prime Location Near Broadway

One of the biggest advantages of staying at The Fairlane is its location.

Situated just a few blocks from the heart of Broadway, guests can easily walk to Nashville’s famous honky-tonks, live music venues, restaurants, and attractions. Yet despite its proximity to the action, the hotel feels refreshingly calm and removed from the late-night noise that can accompany downtown stays. It’s close enough to experience everything Nashville has to offer, while still providing a relaxing atmosphere when you’re ready to unwind.

Mid-Century Style with a Nashville Twist

Originally built in the 1970s as a bank headquarters, The Fairlane embraces its mid-century roots with stylish décor and vintage-inspired touches throughout the property. From the moment you enter the lobby, the hotel exudes sophistication without feeling pretentious. Clean lines, warm colors, and thoughtful design details create a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements Nashville’s creative spirit.

The lobby bar is especially impressive. Chic yet comfortable, it’s the perfect place to meet friends for cocktails, enjoy a nightcap after exploring Broadway, or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere. The space strikes a balance between upscale and approachable, making it one of my favorite gathering spots in the hotel.

Outstanding Hospitality

Great hotels are often defined by their people, and The Fairlane excels in this department. Throughout my stay, the staff was friendly, engaging, and genuinely welcoming. From check-in to departure, everyone I encountered made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another reservation. That level of hospitality goes a long way, and it helped elevate an already memorable stay.

Rooms with Incredible Nashville Views

My guest room was one of the highlights of the experience. Spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed with art deco detailing, the room offered stunning views of the Nashville skyline. Large windows filled the space with natural light, creating the perfect setting to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind after a busy day exploring the city.

Don’t Skip Brunch

If there’s one meal you absolutely shouldn’t miss during your stay, it’s brunch.

The hotel’s dining experience exceeded expectations, and the brunch menu quickly became one of my favorite meals of the trip. The standout dish? Without question, the steak and eggs. Perfectly prepared and packed with flavor, it was the kind of meal that sets the tone for the entire day. Whether you’re recovering from a night on Broadway or gearing up for a day of sightseeing, it’s a must-order.

Sip Above the City at Ellington’s Rooftop

One of the highlights of staying at the Fairlane is Ellington’s Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, perched above the city with sweeping views of downtown Nashville. The stylish rooftop space offers a more relaxed atmosphere than the bustling bars on Broadway, making it an ideal place to unwind after a day of sightseeing or concerts.

Guests can enjoy craft cocktails, a curated wine list, and a menu of elevated small plates while taking in the skyline views. Whether you’re meeting friends for sunset drinks or simply looking for a quieter spot to soak up the energy of Music City, Ellington’s delivers a sophisticated rooftop experience without ever feeling pretentious. The combination of comfortable seating, attentive service, and panoramic views makes it one of the hidden gems of downtown Nashville and another reason why the Fairlane stands out among the city’s boutique hotels.

A Downtown Nashville Favorite

With its ideal location, stylish atmosphere, excellent dining, and exceptional service, The Fairlane Hotel offers everything travelers could want from a downtown Nashville stay.

It delivers the energy and personality that make Nashville special while still providing a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle just a few blocks away.

For anyone planning a trip to Music City, The Fairlane isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s part of the experience. And after one stay, it’s easy to understand why this boutique gem has become one of my favorite hotels in Nashville.
