Country Splash wrapped its inaugural weekend in Cabo San Lucas on Sunday, September 6, bringing three days of country music, poolside parties, wellness experiences and intimate performances to Paradisus Los Cabos. With the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop and a crescent moon rising over the Main Stage, the final day offered a fitting close to a festival designed to blend the energy of country music with the laid-back luxury of a destination getaway.
From morning wellness on the lawn to the final singalong of the night, Day 3 gave guests plenty of ways to enjoy the last hours of the Labor Day weekend in Cabo.
Starting the Day With Wellness
After two days of music and poolside celebrations, Sunday morning offered a chance to slow down before the final round of performances.
Hosted by Sports Research, Diplo’s Morning Wellness Experience brought guests together on the lawn for an hour-long flow session. The experience offered a different way to start a festival day, combining movement and mindfulness before the energy shifted toward the pool and afternoon music.
It was another example of the festival’s effort to make Country Splash about more than simply watching concerts. Wellness, food, resort amenities and music were woven together throughout the weekend, allowing guests to create their own pace.
One Last Pool Party
By noon, the focus shifted to the pool at Paradisus Los Cabos, where DJ Lucky Lou kicked off the final pool party. The atmosphere quickly built as genre-bending duo VAVO brought its signature “YEEDM”—a blend of country influences and electronic dance music—to the daytime crowd.
Dee Jay Silver then took over the soundtrack for the afternoon as guests soaked up the final hours of Cabo sunshine. With the pool surrounded by palm trees, resort guests and festival attendees, the setting felt less like a traditional music festival and more like a vacation where the soundtrack happened to include some of country music’s biggest names and rising artists.
Sunset Songs by the Fire
As the pool party came to an end and the sun began to drop, Country Splash shifted gears for its signature Sunset Fireside Sessions.
Riley Green, Lauren Watkins and Dasha performed intimate acoustic sets, giving fans an opportunity to hear the artists in a more stripped-down environment.
For Watkins, the experience was particularly special. “This is so cool, I don’t get to do stuff like this all the time and nerd out about the songwriting,” she told the crowd.
That intimacy was one of the defining elements of Country Splash. Rather than separating artists from fans behind massive festival stages all weekend, the event created opportunities to see performers up close and hear the stories and songs in a more personal setting.
Lauren Watkins and Cameron Whitcomb Open the Final Night
As the sun disappeared and the waning crescent moon rose above the Main Stage, Lauren Watkins officially kicked off the final night of Country Splash.
Her set showcased the earthy combination of sunset country and hazy heartland grit that has become part of her emerging sound. The performance provided a natural transition from the relaxed atmosphere of the fireside sessions into the energy of the festival’s final concerts.
Cameron Whitcomb followed, bringing an entirely different level of energy to the stage. Known for his distinctive vocal style and unpredictable stage presence, Whitcomb kept the crowd engaged with his high-energy performance—and even brought out his trademark backflips.
Riley Green Brings Country Splash Home
Riley Green closed the inaugural Country Splash weekend with a set that stretched across his catalog of hits and fan favorites.
By the time Green took the stage, the crowd was ready to sing along, turning the festival’s final performance into a full-scale celebration. Songs including “Different ’Round Here,” “Think ’Bout You Drunk” and “Worst Way” had fans singing back to the stage.
Lauren Watkins returned to join Green for “Don’t Mind If I Do,” giving the festival one more collaborative moment before the weekend came to an end.
With the Cabo sky overhead and the crowd singing along, Green’s performance provided an energetic finale to three days of music.
A Different Kind of Country Music Festival
Across three days, Country Splash offered a different approach to the traditional music festival experience. Rather than centering everything around large stages and back-to-back performances, the inaugural event blended concerts with pool parties, acoustic sessions, wellness activities and the amenities of an all-inclusive resort.
Guests could start their morning with a wellness class, spend the afternoon at the pool, watch an acoustic performance at sunset and finish the night with a full concert—all without leaving Paradisus Los Cabos.
Personalized hospitality, concierge services and curated experiences were also part of the weekend, creating an atmosphere that felt more intimate and relaxed than a traditional festival.
Country Splash ultimately delivered its promise of combining country music with a destination escape. For three days, Cabo became a country music playground where fans could trade crowded festival grounds for poolside stages, ocean views and sunset performances—and end each night under the stars.
