Country Splash continued to turn the beaches of Cabo San Lucas into a country music paradise on Saturday, Sept. 5, with a full day of music, wellness, poolside partying and live performances that carried guests from sunrise to late into the evening.
Taking place at Paradisus Los Cabos, the second day of the inaugural beachfront country music festival offered a little bit of everything. Guests could start their morning with movement and meditation, spend the afternoon dancing beside the pool with GRAMMY Award-winning DJ and producer Diplo, slow things down during an intimate sunset acoustic session and finish the night singing along with LOCASH and headliner Jon Pardi.
It was the kind of festival day where there was no reason to leave the resort.
A Morning Reset Before the Party
Saturday began with Morning Movement and Meditation hosted by Sports Research, giving Country Splash guests a chance to recharge before the day’s music and poolside festivities began.
The wellness programming has become an important part of the Country Splash experience, blending music festival energy with the laid-back atmosphere of a Cabo getaway. Rather than rushing into the day, guests could start with movement, mindfulness and the ocean air before transitioning into the more energetic daytime programming.
By late morning, the party was underway at the pool.
Diplo Takes Over the Pool
DJ Lucky Lou opened the daytime programming before ADHD took to the tower and began building the energy around the pool.
Then came Diplo. The GRAMMY Award-winning artist brought his genre-blurring sound to the poolside crowd, creating one of the day’s biggest party moments. With the sun shining over Paradisus Los Cabos and guests gathered around the pool, Diplo’s set provided the perfect soundtrack for a Mexican beach vacation with a country music twist.
Country Splash has made it clear that its goal isn’t simply to recreate a traditional country festival in another location. Instead, the festival is creating a lifestyle experience where country music exists alongside DJs, wellness, pool parties, resort amenities and the natural beauty of Cabo. Diplo’s afternoon set was a perfect example.
From Pool Party to Sunset Fireside Sessions
As the afternoon sun began to fade, the energy shifted. Guests moved from the pool toward the Sunset Fireside Sessions, creating a more intimate atmosphere as the day transitioned into evening. Around the fireside setting, Zach John King and Jon Pardi performed acoustic sets, offering a chance to experience the artists in a more relaxed environment.
After hours of dancing and poolside music, the acoustic performances provided a welcome change of pace. The setting also reinforced one of Country Splash’s biggest advantages: the festival never feels like it is taking place in a traditional festival field. Instead, the beach, resort, ocean views and changing light become part of the experience.
Zach John King Opens the Main Stage
The Main Stage portion of the evening began with Dee Jay Silver, who kept the crowd moving before Zach John King took the stage. King’s set featured songs from his recently released debut album, I’m What You Get, giving festival goers a chance to hear the emerging artist as he continues to make his mark in country music. He also did a high-energy crowd singalong with a cover of Luke Comb’s “Beer Never Broke My Heart.”
Dee Jay Silver returned to keep the energy high before LOCASH took over the stage.
LOCASH Brings the Party
LOCASH brought plenty of personality to the Main Stage, delivering a set designed for a crowd ready to sing along. The duo performed its current single, “Let The Country Music Play,” as well as the No. 1 hit “I Love This Life.”
Adding an unexpected touch to the performance, LOCASH was joined by a three-piece mariachi band, bringing a distinctly Mexican flavor to the country festival and making the performance feel especially at home in Cabo.
The crowd responded with plenty of singing and dancing, celebrating songs that have become familiar staples of the country genre.
Jon Pardi Closes Night Two
Jon Pardi closed out the second night with a set spanning a decade of hits. By this point, Country Splash had taken the crowd through nearly every type of experience the festival offers—from morning wellness to a massive pool party, an intimate acoustic session and a full-scale country concert.
Pardi’s performance brought the night to a high-energy finish as fans sang along to favorites including “Head Over Boots” and “Heartache Medication,” along with more songs from his extensive catalog.
After a full day in the Cabo sun, it was an appropriately celebratory ending to the festival’s second night.
Country Music Meets Cabo
One of the defining elements of Country Splash is the way the festival combines music with hospitality.
Throughout Saturday, the event’s service-first philosophy remained central to the experience. Concierge services, Social Ambassadors, premium hospitality and the resort’s amenities helped guests move between the day’s different activities without the logistical challenges normally associated with a large music festival.
That seamless movement—from wellness session to pool party to fireside acoustic performance to Main Stage—makes Country Splash feel as much like a vacation as a music festival. And that’s the point.
With the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, country music playing throughout the resort and artists performing in settings ranging from a pool tower to a fireside stage, Country Splash is creating a different kind of festival experience.
After two days, the formula is proving simple: great country music, sunshine, resort life and a little bit of Cabo magic.
Country Splash Cabo Day 3
Country Splash wraps its inaugural weekend on Sunday with another full day of music and activities.
The day begins with Diplo’s Morning Wellness Experience hosted by Sports Research, followed by a daytime pool party featuring VAVO and Dee Jay Silver. Guests can then enjoy a sunset acoustic performance from surprise guests before heading to the Main Stage for performances from Riley Green, Cameron Whitcomb and Lauren Watkins.
