Frontier Adds Service to Phoenix, Arizona and Dallas, Texas

Low-cost airline Frontier is adding to flights, crews and jobs at major airports in Texas and Arizona.

Frontier will add a new crew base at Dallas-Fort Worth airport (DFW) including 120 pilots, 220 flight attendants and pilot positions, and airport jobs. There will also be five new routes from DFW. These include nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ). The other new nonstop routes include Baltimore (BWI), New York-La Guardia (LGA), Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Orange County, Calif. (SNA). The new service is scheduled to begin in spring 2023 and tickets for these routes go on sale this month.

“Opening a crew base here demonstrates our strong commitment to continued growth and expanded service. Frontier is an ultra-low-cost carrier and consumers appreciate the value offered by our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ approach to air travel now more than ever,” said Barry Biffle, president and CEO of Frontier Airlines in a press release.

Frontier is also expanding in Arizona at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) where a new crew base will employ up to 180 pilots and 275 flight attendants.

There is also a series of new routes that have recently started from PHX. Frontier will launch nonstop service to Philadelphia (PHL), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), Cincinnati (CVG), Detroit (DTW), Orange County, Calif. (SNA), and Portland, Ore. (PDX).

Frontier Airlines will become one of the airport’s largest carriers due to destinations since they will be serving 23 nonstop destinations in total from PHX.
