Accor Hotels To Expand In Bali With New Properties

Sometimes referred to as the “Island of the Gods” Bali continues to be Indonesia’s most visited destination. Accor Hotels is looking to capitalize on the popularity of Bali with three forthcoming properties. Prior to the pandemic, Bali drew over 16 million tourists in 2019.

“Bali is one of those rare destinations which offers a little bit of everything. In this highly sought-after holiday island, we have a choice of properties across all brand segments in all the key locations,” said Garth Simmons Accor’s Chief Executive Officer for Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea in the company’s press release.

The new hotels planned are Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak, Novotel Bali Ubud, and Mercure Bali Jimbaran.  The new properties are in addition to current properties such as the ibis Bali Legian Street which is within walking distance to sunset bars and the beach and the Novotel Bali Nusa Dua which has a 1,500 square meter lagoon pool among tropical gardens, showing the best of what Bali offers.

“By providing every kind of leisure stay – from retreats to lifestyle hotels to family activity holidays, and with 3 new hotels also in the pipeline, Accor’s presence here has high growth potential as leisure travel returns to growth,” Simmons continued in the release.

Ennismore, a joint venture with Accor is developing Ennismore’s TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach hotel. It boasts of social spaces, smart rooms, a rooftop pool, and a bar overlooking Kuta beach and is close to the Beachwalk shopping mall.

“Our guests are true explorers – they could be out shopping, experiencing the local neighborhood or out doing business, however, they want to return to a hotel that is both design-driven and social,” François Leclerc Deputy Brand COO at Ennismore stated in the release. “These diverse modern travelers are connected by a love of contemporary design, a spirit of adventure & a new understanding of what a functional, contemporary hotel should be.”
