We met Tayler Holder at the Country Radio Seminar and talked about his first headlining tour, his adrenaline junkie hobbies, and the perfect day in his new hometown of Nashville.

Tell me about your first headlining tour?

It’s was absolutely amazing. I was doing the whole Tin Roof Run, they’re the small bar runs. We packed out the rooms and I made the best memories in my entire life so far on this tour. It’s been amazing.

Are there any cities you found fun things to do in?

Kansas City was probably the funnest one. We’re always really in and out. We go in there, we do our soundcheck, we play the show, and then we leave. We don’t ever get to really sightsee. But in KC it was Super Bowl weekend, and after that show we got to stay and see Kansas City and go watch the Super Bowl out there and see how Casey gets down.

What’s your perfect day off on the road?

I’d say going to hit some golf balls doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Going to an indoor go-kart place or something like that. That’s probably where I’d be sitting at.

I’ve seen on your Instagram that you like all these extreme sports like snowboarding and dirt biking. Are there any extreme sports you wouldn’t try or ones that you would like to try?

Honestly there’s been a few that I haven’t tried, but there’s none that I wouldn’t try. I’ve been from the professional side of motocross to fighting. I’ve been skydiving like ten times. I actually want to work on getting my license to go skydiving by myself. We’re all around just sports and adrenaline junkies, so there’s nothing we wouldn’t do.

Any favorite snowboarding spots?

Honestly, we go every year to Brighton Resort in Utah. Utah has the best snow that I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m still like, newish to snowboarding, but we still throw backflips and we still do all that stuff. They have the craziest powder I’ve ever seen in my life. You can land on your head and just be completely fine.

What’s your craziest travel story?

We were playing some festival with Yung Gravy, actually, which is funny. It was the craziest day of our life. We had a double blowout in the RV driving there. Our whole wheel came off and was rolling down the highway, almost hitting cars. We were sitting on the side of the road and couldn’t get an Uber to come pick us up. I had to walk. I walked two miles up the highway to go to a car rental place to get a van so we could all fit in it, and then we hooked our trailer up to it and made it. We didn’t get to soundcheck. We walked on stage and just played the show dry. It was the most chaotic, hectic day of our life.

Do you have a favorite song to play live?

My favorite song to play live definitely has to be “Dyin’ Flame,” my new single that we have out right now. That song has changed my life. I think we’re sitting like 6.5 million streams in two and a half months. Just to hear them screaming back to us, it’s been something that I’ve dreamed of for so long. That’s definitely what I’d say is my favorite.

Are you working on new music?

We are working on new music. We have a song that I’ve been teasing, “California Fit into Tennessee.” We got such great energy with “Dyin’ Flame” and I just don’t know if I’m going to go down to a ballad kind of love song, or if I want to keep the energy up. We’re kind of going back and forth. I’d say we got a lot of music coming out though.

What’s your perfect day in Nashville?

Sitting right on my back porch shooting some skeet with our shotguns. I have a dirt bike track in the backyard, so I’d say go ride some dirt bikes and if we’re going to go eat somewhere. Jack Brown’s is like a Nashville staple, where they have really, really good burgers but we found this place called Bad Luck Burger Club. It’s a little food

What makes the perfect TikTok?

I just try to do something that will get me made fun of in every video, just to get people to talk about me.
