Boutique Luxury Meets Midwest Charm at Hotel Elkhart

The four-star Hotel Elkhart located in downtown Elkhart, Indiana is the perfect little boutique hotel to stay at while exploring the historical city. It is a true Midwest hidden gem. The hotel is just one block from the Midwest Museum of Art and the Lerner Theatre. Just a small trek away is the Elkhart River Greenway Trail, Wellfield Botanic Gardens, and The University of Notre Dame.

We recently stayed at The Hotel Elkhart on an Indiana Summer road trip and were blown away by the service, gorgeous art deco furniture choices and beautiful rooms perfect for a relaxing stop during our small town adventure.

Last year, Hotel Elkhart won the Hilton Award of Excellence and the Cook Cup for Outstanding Restoration due to their dedication to guest satisfaction and preservation of historic charm. The Hotel Elkhart first opened in 1923, known as a local meet-up spot and the tallest building in the city. As of summer 2021, this hotel has been meticulously restored, staying true to period designs with its marble floors and detailed molding. The hotel has 10 floors and 93 rooms, all of which offer a view into the city of Elkhart.

Rooms begin at $111 per night (depending on dates of stay) and range from 350 to 600 square feet. To make you feel comfortable away from home, each room comes with Molton Brown toiletries, filtered water, Boca bathrobes, Victrola bluetooth speakers, and a 55-inch HDTV. The local art on the walls and Amish wood furnishings add a historical touch to the classically styled rooms. You can even choose a custom pillow from the Elkhart Hotel’s “Pillow Menu” which includes hypoallergenic options, memory foam, and feather pillows to help you get a good night’s sleep.
