The final day of the first weekend of Coachella 2025 was another hot day to add to the books. Temperatures stayed in the high 80’s with occasional cloud coverage to provide some much needed shade. The headliners of the day were Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Shaboozey and other noteworthy sets from JENNIE and Zedd.

On the Sahara Stage, rapper Ty Dolla $ign put on a show for the crowd filled with high-energy cover songs and special guests. The set featured a barbed wire fence, simulating a prison yard where Ty and his guests performed. Rapper YG and Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa were among a few of the rappers who joined Ty on stage, making the set a West Coast takeover rap battle.

Shaboozey brought some much needed country energy to Coachella for his afternoon set. His set included an even mix of some of his hit songs and a few new ones. Of course, Shaboozey included his breakout hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which he actually first performed at Coachella in 2024. For his collaborative song “My Fault,” Shaboozey brought out singer Noah Cyrus. His setlist included other fantastic songs like the emotional “Last Of My Kind,” and his live debut of “Blink Twice” and “Amen.”

20-year-old Jessie Murph made her Coachella debut on the Mojave Stage, showcasing her genre versatility. Musicians Shaboozey, Benson Boone, and influencer Emma Chamberlin were among spectators in the crowd. On an all pink stage, Murph looked amazing in an all black outfit as she became the fly girl in a cheerleading-like move with the help of her background dancer. The set featured appearances from rapper Polo G, who joined Murph for their breakout hit “Heartbroken,” and Koe Wetzel, singing their Billboard #1 country radio success “High Road.” Murph also performed two new singles for the first time; “Blue Strips” and “Gucci Mane.”

JENNIE from the South Korean all female pop group BLACKPINK performed as a solo act in a sexy, red, country inspired outfit that matched her backup dancers. Her stage presence and star quality were incredible as she danced along to choreographed numbers while still maintaining a beautiful voice. Her set closed out with a bang with her viral song “like JENNIE” and the bass-powered “Starlight.”

Uber-popular DJ Zedd brought guests out for a packed set in the Outdoor Theatre. The performance marks his fifth set at Coachella, including special guests John Mayer, Maren Morris, and Bea Miller. Zedd played drums while Mayer effortlessly sang his hit “New Light.” Zedd was then joined on stage by Morris, who belted out the words to “The Middle.” Miller sang along to “Tangerine Rays” and “Out Of Time.” Zedd ended his set with one of his most recognized songs, “Clarity.”

Mexican singer-songwriter Junior H represented Mexico for his debut with his corrido tumbado music. Junior H kept his set simple and sweet, focusing on his more romantic songs like “Y LLORO” and “Fin De Semana,” but excluding many of his most popular corridos for reasons unknown. Near the end of his set, he brought out fellow Mexican rapper Peso Pluma who was met with cheers from the crowd for their duet on “Luna.” He also brought out Tito Double P for “5-7” and closed his set with “Disfruto Lo Malo.”

BigXthaPlug took over the Gobi Stage with his newfound country style. He performed his first-ever country single, “All The Way,” a catchy tune with both Southern hip-hop and country sound. Big X was joined by rapper friends Ro$ama, Yung Hood, and Murda Gang PB for a few songs before finishing up with some of his own songs. Big X made sure to include fan-favorites “Texas” and “Whip It.”

Keshi, a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist performed for the first time at Coachella after finishing his Requiem World Tour. He performed hit songs “Soft Spot,” “UNDERSTAND” and “LIMBO” with great participation from fans in the crowd. Keshi was calm, cool, and collected as he strummed away on his guitar while serenading the crowd.

California native and certified gold artist Still Woozy brought his incredible stage presence to the Outdoor Stage at sunset. Fun cartoon images splayed across the LED screen behind him while a human sized flower sat smiling on stage. Before singing “Rocky,” Woozy exclaimed “You did it. You beat the heat!” and fans cheered in response. Woozy ended his set with one of his top songs, “Goodie Bag” as the crowd vibed to his tunes.

Baebadoobee stole the show during her Coachella comeback set with her song “California” and her new song “Talk.” This young artist who just recently returned to the spotlight has found her songs going viral online and on the radio, but the crowd wasn’t quite on the same page. Through all of her 15 songs, Baebadoobee maintained her upbeat energy and delivered her signature indie-pop vocals. Of course, she included popular songs “Beaches” and “Real Man” before ending her set with “Cologne.”

Megan Thee Stallion put on an incredible show on the Main Stage with a headlining level set. She opened with a high energy mash-up of “Ungrateful” and “Thot Shit,” accompanied by clean cut choreography and on point back up dancers. Her live debut of the song “TYG” was supplemented with a surprise appearance from Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox. Later in her set, Megan brought out Queen Latifah for “Plan B.” The biggest surprise guest was Ciara, who playfully sang “Roc Steady” and “Goodies” with Megan. Megan unfortunately did not allow press so there are no images of her performance.

Post Malone closed out the Main Stage with his signature sound mix of country and rap for the second time in his career. The set looked like an apocalyptic interstate, modeled after a Formula One circuit, reminiscent of his new album F-1 Trillion. Malone offered a wide array of his discography, jumping between his new country sound and his earlier more rap-based material. Malone sang out the tune to songs like “Better Now,” “Go Flex,” and “What Don’t Belong To Me” while descending long ramps into the audience. He ended out the show on a positive note with two of his biggest hits – “Congratulations” and “Sunflower.”

Coachella 2025 was a big hit with some incredible headlining performances, acts that were so amazing they could have been headliners, and new found talent. We’re glad to be out of the heat, but we can’t wait for what awaits us in Indio next year!
