The Offspring Brought The Greatest Hits To Day 4 At Festival d’été de Québec

Sunday, July 7th marked day four of the eleven day Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) in Canada. Today we ventured around to a few different stages across downtown Québec in the warm evening air, seeing a mix of pop, rock, and some genres in-between. Festival goers crowded around each stage, ecstatic to see their favorite artists performing.

Model and singer Clodelle started the night off at the SiriusXM Stage at 18h25/6:25 p.m. Wearing an all-black spandex outfit and a jeweled belt, Clodelle sang out her pop rhythms. She performed songs from her debut album Gemini that was released in 2022. Clodelle knows three languages: English, French, and Spanish, and has written two songs in French so far.

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Charlie Finch who goes by his stage name Charlieonnafriday was next up on the SiriusXM Stage. Even though he’s American. Charlie sported a red Canada sweatshirt while offering up his unique mix of hip-hop, pop, and country sound.

Charlie sang several songs off his forthcoming album and his collab with Loud Luxury “Young & Foolish” for the first time during his solo set and fans loved it and sang along. The crowd cheered along as Charlie ended the set with “Enough,” which has been a staple on his setlist recently after blowing up on TikTok.

Around 19h00/9:00 p.m. on the Loto-Québec Stage, queer artist and Vancouver native Jade LeMac chanted out her lyrics about love and heartache. Jade wore a black button-up that read “Just so sexy” paired with dark denim shorts and black sunglasses. Jade released her first EP Constellations just last year, and has moved up in the music world ever since.

To end the night with a bang and a great performance on the Bell Stage, The Offspring had the crowd jumping and waving their arms along to the beats of their punk-rock songs. The band performed a total of 14 songs with two encore songs: “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” and “Self Esteem.” Todd Morse and Noodles rocked out on the guitar while lead singer Dexter Holland delivered his aggressive vocals.

The band was amazed by the massive crowd that reached across the Plains of Abraham and totaled at least 80,000 fans who came out to see the band. I love this band and I was happy to see them get the love on one of the biggest festival stages in the world.

Mixed into their set were cover songs that freshened up their setlist. They covered “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg and “Blitzkrieg Bop” by the Ramones. Trippy colorful visuals were pasted across the massive LED screens during songs like “The Kids Aren’t Alright” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job.” The performance was a great end to night four.

Check out our next update on days five and six over the next two days. The music is never ending here at FEQ and we just can’t get enough! There’s only one week left, and luckily, the Canadian evening festival schedule has us full of energy each night. Stay tuned!
