The Offspring Takes Over The Punk Rock Museum April 12-14th

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Smash, The Offspring will take over The Punk Rock Museum April 12-14th. The weekend will feature a variety of events for fans of the California punk rockers. All weekend, lead guitarist Noodles will be stepping into the role of official tour guide. Additionally, the full band will present an intimate artist talk and exclusive acoustic performance of some Smash songs. These experiences are sold out, but there are other events throughout the weekend to attend with a GA museum ticket.

The museum’s on-site dive bar, The Triple Down, will host two nights of debauchery. On Friday, April 12th, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy will DJ at the dive. On Saturday, April 13th, it’ll be bassist Todd Morse’s turn to play his favorite tunes as he DJs. If you want to know which band member has the better taste, you’ll need to attend both evenings to decide. Saturday night will also feature a visit from the Somethin’ To Taco ‘Bout Truck from 6-9PM. The Mexi-Fusion food truck serves tacos, nachos and street corn cups that pair well with Dexter’s Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even grab a Smash signature cocktail which features the hot sauce at the bar.

Exclusive merch celebrating Smash’s anniversary is available in The Punk Rock Museum’s store, including an exclusive green vinyl variant of the record. This edition is only available at the museum. Upstairs in The Shop tattoo parlor, fans can select a tattoo from an Offspring-only flash sheet. Book your appointments in advance through the museum’s website here. A temporary exhibit of rock photographer Lisa Johnson’s Offspring photos and additional band artifacts during the Smash era will also be on display.
