Big As Texas Festival Debuts May 10-12, 2024

Big As Texas, an independently produced music festival, will make its debut in the Lone Star State this May 10-12, 2024. The three-day event will take place at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds outside of Houston. 30+ Country and Americana artists will play over the course of the weekend.

“We are trying to build something special here with Big As Texas, not only in the music offerings but the overall experience that extends beyond our massive main stages. Since first launching this fall, support has been incredible and we can’t wait to finally meet this amazing community that only grows by the day come May,” said Big As Texas cofounder and Dosey Doe owner Steve Said.

In addition to providing a positive economic and cultural impact on Montgomery County through the festival, its organizers hope to shed some light on the suicide epidemic that the county is currently facing. Over 40 nonprofits will be available on-site to partake in the Community Corral. Through panel discussions and other activities, they will help support the community. Additionally, 10% of net proceeds from each individual ticket sold will be donated to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that focus on suicide prevention in Montgomery County and across Texas.

“Having been personally impacted by suicide with the death of my brother, this festival means so much more to me than just some weekend concert. We want to invest our money where it matters and ultimately drive a greater awareness about the epidemic facing this community ravaged by suicide. We hope Big As Texas’ impact far exceeds our festival dates, while supporting efforts to save lives,” said Big As Texas cofounder and community advocate Trey Diller.
