Cincinnati Zoo Offering Free Admission to Moms this Sunday

Looking for ideas of how to celebrate mom this weekend? If you’re local to Cincinnati, consider taking her to the zoo, which is offering mothers free admission on Mother’s Day. Moms in attendance will also receive free digital photos from the Zoo Babies photo station and a collectible Zoo Babies poster. General Electric Credit Union is giving the kids who come on Mother’s Day free bubble wands.

“The Zoo is a great place to spend Mother’s Day with the special women in your life,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “May is Zoo Babies month, so you can visit all sorts of animal moms and their babies. If you haven’t seen baby hippo Fritz yet, this is a great opportunity to see the cutest 600-lb baby around.”

While he may be the biggest, Fritz isn’t the only Zoo Baby to see! There are currently baby giraffes, a crocodile skink, an Aruba Island rattlesnake, Pascagoula map turtles, a bonobo, a cheetah, three manatees, a gila monster, a rhino, a 3-banded armadillo, an orchid mantis and a thorny devil walking stick.

There are even bat-eared fox kits, penguin chicks and Kip, the white-cheeked gibbon, who haven’t made their public debut yet, but could before the end of the month.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is open on Sunday, May 14th from 10am to 5pm. For tickets and more information, please visit https://cincinnatizoo.org.
